   If you help others, are you interfering with the direction of their journey?
   
   
   When you help others, are you trying to fix them so the outcome is one you would choose? And, maybe not the one, they would choose?

   What an awesome question. If they ask you for help..no.If they do not, then you have to use skillful means to determine whether your assistance will help or stop their growth...

   Wow...I haven't tangled with this since the first time I saw Back to the Future!    To answer your question - no, I don't think it's a trajectory ruiner to offer help AT ALL.  In fact, you might evev help steer someone's Titanic away from an iceberg!  And hey, their journey led them to you, me - whomever, right?

   There is a difference between "help" and "interference."
   
   Help, as in "a helping hand," provides guidance/grace/support/counsel/insight so that the person being helped can help themselves get back on their own individual path toward their highest and best life, as they define it. Help has no agenda, no expectation and is offered from of a place of genuine love.
   
   Interference, as in trying to get someone to make a different decision because someone thinks "they know better," comes from a place of fear.
   
   There are times when Help may not be enough and a dose of Interference may be appropriate ~ Someone contemplating suicide ~ Someone with an addiction that is out of control ~ When the body/brain chemicals are out of balance, either naturally like in severe depression, or chemically induced, they are not in their right/nature frame of mind to make sound decisions on their own behalf.
   
   When it comes to where to live, what faith if any to follow, who to marry, where to go to school, where to work, what car to drive, etc. it is important for people, starting with young adults, to make their own decisions. Hopefully they would have learned ahead of time how to discern and recognize what is good for them.

   Aaah grasshoppa...but why if the direction of your journey is to help others, then would it not be interference from everything else you are doing?  Now snatch the pebbles from my hand, walk on rice paper and be on your way.

   I think no. When we help others, it's purely because we respond to a need. Unless probably when this help sparks something else that could lead to how they'd consider the entire situation. Wonderful question.
