What methods do you follow to de-stress yourself?

In the busy world of today, it is quite normal to get stressed easily. What techniques do you usually follow to ease your stress levels?

You are right, it is very easy to become stressed nowadays, especially over tiny things that shouldn't really matter.
Generations ago people had common sense to help get them through situations but not so now. Stress is a boom industry! I've no doubt there are dozens of hubs on the subject.
There are 3 types of stress.
    1. Stress caused by humans.
    2. Stress caused by machines.
    3. Stress caused by unreal situations.

I use a form of meditation to begin with. I step back in my mind, remove myself and look out a window to get a view, a bigger picture. I then focus on everything I see, a bit like an artist would if they were painting a picture. The idea is to get 'inside' the image. Could be a tree, a bird, a cloud, anything. This method is good for 1&2.
Second method is more physical. I take a walk or play table tennis or kick a ball around! Better for 1.
For the third type of stress I haven't any strategy yet!! Which is causing me more stress.

      Hi!
Thanks for your descriptive answer and it is worth following. I wish, you do not have 3rd type of stress. Please relax.

    Definitely Yoga meditation and exercise!
It calms the mind, body, and spirit.
Simply by practicing only once with quality, it can provide the most holistic experience anyone could ever experience in their whole life..

I have been practicing The Transcendental Meditation Technique for 42 years.  It is very effective at getting rid of stress.  It is also a very fast track fro enlightenment.

      Hi Lohrainne,
You are absolutely right. And the ones who start getting enlightened, rarely get stressed. Thanks for your response.
