Just a few minutes ago, I made a protein shake with protein powder and some fresh figs off my fig tree.  After mashing it up a bit I put them in the shaker and it was a tasty and delicious afternoon snack - no sugar needed.  Yes, it was delicious!

It might not qualify as "food", but I made an iced americano with Lavazza Espresso.  I typically make espresso using Starbucks Espresso and it's just OK.  Lavazza was cheaper and I have to say, absolutely delicious.  An iced Americano is just two shots of espresso over ice with ice water, basically ice coffee made with espresso.  Delicious!

Mm sounds good, will have to try it!  Do you add sugar or just drink it straight?

I drink it straight.  You could add sugar and cream, but it's so good black.  Let me know if you try it!

we were at a restaurant that had fried pickles which sounded absolutely disgusting to me, but I tried it and it was actually quite tasty lol.  In this area of the country they will truly deep fry anything wink.

Turkey bacon. Which was surprisingly tasty along with being much, much better for you than bacon.

I tried edamame a couple weeks ago.  Its soybeans still in the pod, but you just eat the beans.  I am not a big veggie eater so I was anticipating not liking them.  They were good and a very healthy snack.

Yesterday we were removing the young tilapia from our lakes. They are prolific breeders and we need to thin the population occasionally. This time we kept a few back to deep fry. They are small about 5-10 grams. They were crunchy and with salt, quite tasty. Because of the size, they aren't gutted, just washed. This is similar to whitebait that I have eaten prepared like this.
That said, I still prefer to eat adult tilapia.

Green papaya salad. I loved it but broke out in hives a few hours later. I don't know if it was the salad or stress but I'm not eating it again.
