   How can I improve hub performance?
   
   I've been with HubPages for almost two years now and I'm barely making $6.45 per month.  This means about 8 months between payments. In fact, I only just started getting those kind of results so I have yet to be paid by HubPages. I don't have a lot of "friends" and I have no money for advertising (and I refuse to use scams and illegal marketing tactics). So that said, How can I improve the performance of my hubs without using social networking and paying for advertising? I'm certain that my hubs are of good quality but I know there's always room for improvement.

   I am pretty new here--just over two months. First of all you have to get active in the community.  Share with other writers and look at successful hubbers.  Check out their hubs and learn from them.  I am sure you are a good writer, but speaking from experience it is not enough.  You have to let the world know you are a good writer.  As for social networking. I stayed away as long as I could.  I am not the most savvy person on the earlth, but I forced myself to learn.  I am also going to take a computer class in social networking. Get your name out share with your other hubbers and things will start to fall in place.

   I have reviewed your profile and I would advice you to make use you write more Hubs that are Keyword focus.
   
   Your Hubs are high quality but you need to do the right Keyword for them to rank well in Google to get you more traffic.

   You have only written 16 hubs in two years.  You haven't created many earning opportunities for yourself.  That's why your results are what they are.
   
   You can ignore what everyone says about having to comment a lot or be active in the forums.  Neithers earns you money.  And you don't need social networking or advertising.
   
   But you do need to create a lot of high-quality content that other humans want to read.  There are a lot of Hubs that talk about doing this, or the Learning Center, or the new Apprenticeship program to help you do that.  But it takes work if you want to earn money.

   You are making more than I am on a monthly basis now with $6.45 per month.  I haven't been working this very hard though lately, just dropping in every now and then, at this point, as I am working on my own sites more than working at HubPages right now.  With only 6 followers, your traffic is coming mainly from searches.  I think you should schedule some time to get active in the HubPages community, read others work some, leave comments and follow those that you like.  The Golden Rule works well here on HubPages and others will begin and share your work when you start doing this for them.  It helps to bring exposure to your work within the community here.  Also, as you are doing this, you can study the work of others and learn ways to improve upon your own hubs.  I read several of your hubs.  Most are technical in nature.  The majority of the readers here on HubPages are females and as we are such emotional beings and relationship oriented, it may help to write some heart to heart type hubs also in addition to the more technical ones that you have been writing.  Also, since most of your hubs are geared towards computer software programs and help and there is a lot of information already on the internet on these topics, lengthening your current articles may also help to push them up to the top of search results.    Recently, I discovered the benefits of Pinning Hubs on Pinterest.  Hubs with interesting pictures are great ones to pin.  Pin them and after edit them to include your tracker referral.

   Search engine optimize your content - that is the key.  If you write tons of good information and no one can find it, that doesn't do you or them much good.  SEO, when done properly can get you great results.

   From reading some of your content on here, I can see that you put a lot of effort into each post, and that they are definitely high quality. However, you only have 16 pieces of content on here after 21 months of being a Hubber. It is simply unrealistic to expect major results with only 16 Hubs available for your audience to read, and assuming that you haven't specifically gone through each Hub to make sure that it is SEO optimised, you may not make a lot of money from them either.
   
   With that being said, if you can continue writing content a bit more frequently, and follow these guidelines you will have an increased chance of making money here, and possibly 'taking off' in terms of traffic.
   
   1. Each Hub you write should be completely unique and offer something of value to your readers.
   
   2. Each post should be above 500 - 800 words depending on the topic, and some users would even recommend that you are posting content with at least 1,500 words.
   
   3. Add a few image capsules here and there will are legally used, as well as relevant to the topic at hand.
   
   4. Check for grammatical mistakes and spelling mistakes to make your work more professional.
   
   5. Utilise Amazon, Ebay and Google Adsense to drive as much income as possible from your Hubs. Whilst I do not personally use Ebay as I already have both Amazon and AdSense, I hear that quite a few people have experienced success by implementing Ebay into their content.
   
   Finally, the biggest suggestion of all from me is to simply continue writing as much as you can without dwindling your quality. The majority of my success on HubPages has been generated from researching my keywords before writing,and publishing on a fairly regular basis.
