What according to you is the truest words?
Truest of all words is what touches your heart and soul always. what are these for you in any time and any condition ?
John 3:15-17 in the Bible. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
For me, the truest words are the Word of God in the Bible. But truth can also be absolute or relevant. God's Word is absolute, for me anyway. And apparently that is truth for JThomp42 above in his response. And when my back is out the fact that I am in great pain is truth. However that truth is relevant only to my current situation. When my back is healed and the pain is gone, I am no longer in great pain and to declare that I was, would no longer be truth. So that truth was relevant only to the time I was in great pain. Mark Twain said it best in my opinion when he said "Always tell the truth then you don't have to remember anything". Maybe not the exact quote but you get the idea.
Death, every one will physically die. There are so many theories, religions stories, myths etc that it is near impossible to really know the "absolute truth". The absolute truth has to be universal to all not matter what gender, color, nationality, time period, situation etc. Only physical Death satisfy these criteria. Physical Death is observed in not just human beings but through out all of material nature in one form or another, there is no faith or belief involved Death is just real.
Best wishes.
You're right, everyone will 'physically' die. But, I never saw or heard of a rock dying so death may not be true for rocks. However, I think your answer is pretty hard to challenge with regards to living things.
Thank you@Darrell Roberts for your really insightful reply here.
Death is indeed an universal truth which is beyond even this life.
Have a very good day ahead.
Thanks @ sradie,,,,,what is value of dead things without living things?
thanks you anyway.
The truest words to me are: John 3:16 "For God so loved the wordl that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God's word is pur truth.
"Forgive before you enter the temple". I read it once and now i have ten thousand experiences to share that how it is changing my life. it has thrown all the notions, ideas, thoughts i have embraced and kept so close to my heart for years. The mistake we can make is to take people for people. The other biggest mistake we can make is to treat people like people. It is a different subject that if they treat you like any other person on road. Every time we forgive an incident, a situation or person, we unlock the question which has been eating into our mental and physical peace.
One cannot do better than to follow the advice of Shakespeare as found in Hamlet:
'Above all to thine own self be true.'
That covers it for me as it is deep enough to include everything else.

I've read about many different theories about death and what happens. It is the main question that is in the back of everyone's mind. It's very difficult to picture it or to question the point of existence. The fact that we are here is a miracle in itself, who says that some sort of afterlife isn't...

How do you interpret the second death in the book of Revelations? It is found 4 times in Revelations and as I understand it, it is symbolic for the second desruction of the temple and the Jewish religion a second time at the hands of Rome. The first time was by babylon. It is the spiritual death of...

Is there such as thing as absolute truth? What is it?After all, if a person insists that truth is relative (and we can't determine what beliefs are right and wrong), what reason is there to believe anything that they say?
