Di you follow people without commenting on their work? Why?

I have noticed an increase in followers but have not received any comments from many. Is there a reason to follow someone whose work you don't like enough to comment on? I only follow someone whose work I actually enjoy and comment on. I am thankful for the fans but am trying to understand the practice in case I am doing something wring with my following practices.

Yes, I've done that several times. I follow people cause I like their choice of topics. You don't necessarily have to comment on anything you see, unless it's amazing. Sometimes, it's self explanatory.

Yes. I do that all the time. Because I don't think I could put my perspective of their work into words. I just liked what they wrote, so I follow them as a hubber, and give the hub I liked a higher rating.

Yes, I follow many people because I enjoy their work. I don't necessarily comment on every piece I've read, but that doesn't necessarily mean I didn't enjoy it.

These answers have helped me understand that just because someone doesn't comment during a visit doesn't mean they don't enjoy the work. Also helps me understand why people follow but don't comment. Thank you for the responses!

I always comment right before or after following someone. Commenting on someone's work helps their google rating and it shows them you actually care about what they write, not just wanting the return follow.
