How would you feel if Christ did save all of humanity?

God sent His Son to save us all, so how would you feel if He did?

Well He really did. All there is left is our will. We accept His salvation or we don't. Naturally it would be wonderful if everyone was saved but if it was through no choice of our own then how good would that be for God? He did not create robots, but of His own image. He wants our love as we want His.

Please dont twist my question. I asked how you would feel if He did save all humanity with or without our so called free will.

How is that twisting your question? God does not DEMAND that we accept.

To say that He did save us, but we need to except it is twisting my question. God who wills all to be saved is dependent on us to save us, makes our will sovereign over His.

Re Read John 3:16-19 it clearly shows WE have a decision to make, which DOES affect our eternal destiny, God gave us free will, He will not usurp it by force.

Phil 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Phil 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

Yes EVERY knee shall bow and tongue confess, but is that is during life or during the judgement?

Their adversaries were Jews, and they faced their condmnation A.D.70.

After the great reserection. BTW, it saddens me to see that you find no Joy in the salvation of all.

I find extreme joy, just don't find universalism in the bible.

SwordofManticorEposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Universal reconciliation is found many times in scripture.
1Tim 4:10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

Suggest you change this to the forums.

Saviour of all is balanced by the last line, 'especially' being the operative word.

Folk do have a choice, nobody can deny them that choice.

God does not deny them the choice, why do you?

I have hubs on this topic.
So God wants to save us all, but He is dependent on our choice to save us? Is that it? He wants our permission to save us all?

    12. aguasilver profile image70
aguasilverposted 11 years agoin reply to this

No not exactly, God requires that we WANT to be saved by Christ, it's not obligatory, to oblige would make God a churlish God, who will force us no matter what. Salvation is available to ALL, but can be refused or rejected. It's our choice.

    13. SwordofManticorE profile image69
SwordofManticorEposted 11 years agoin reply to this

That doesnt even come close to what scripture says.

Rom 9:16It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

I no longer hope for salvation for all, I know it and believe in my heart that Christ saved all.

    14. aguasilver profile image70
aguasilverposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Gods Grace is there for all, my point is it can be refused, why are you arguing? If you TRULY believe you are correct, then nobody will be lost, no matter what, but if you are wrong, many could be lost by your concepts.

    15. SwordofManticorE profile image69
SwordofManticorEposted 11 years agoin reply to this

The grace of God has already been given to all.

1 Corinthians 15:22  For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

We all inherited death from Adam, not by choice or free will. the same goes for the grace of God through Christ.

SwordofManticorE I will let you have the last word, you follow your path, I will follow mine, by your reckoning we both end up in the same place anyway. Meanwhile, there are folk who need to get saved, because Christ said that's what we should do.

I agree, they need to be saved, but saved from themselves. If everyone believed in Christ today, there would be nothing but love and peace for all.

It was a simple question and you had to bring your twisted church theology. It is my experience that those who cannot show joy in the possibility that all are saved, dont want all to be saved.

God is free to do whatever God chooses to do. One who truly believes in God, wholeheartedly expects God to do that which God says he will do. My feeling have nothing to do with this. I hold fast to the belief that an all powerful God cand deliver on his words.

Salvation through Christ is for all of humanity.

Just like a court is ordered that let the prisoner be free.  But the prisoner is not believing it and staying back at the prison cell.

Now who is responsible for the act of that prisoner.

Jesus Christ saved all of humanity.  That is why Jesus said "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

      Amen!

Beautiful analogy -- the prisoner too afraid to come out of their cell.

Here is a better anology. A bear is charging at you and a hunter (Christ) shoots the bear dead. With or without your permission you have been saved. BTW, I never heard of a prisoner scared of leaving his cell. The anology sounds unrealistic

There are many prisoners (in real life) who have been so conditioned to prison life, that they commit crimes in order to return to prison, it's a fact that some folk are afraid for freedom and personal responsibility.

He did.  He did.  He did.  He died for the sins of the whole world.  Not one person is excluded.  Not one person will miss Heaven because they sinned, no matter how terrible that sin was.  The only thing that will make a person forfeit Heaven is their own choice.  The bible says He doesn't want anyone to perish but that all would come to repentance.  It also says that narrow is the way and few find it and broad is the way to destruction and many travel on it.  So while it is sadly clear that most people will reject the love and truth of God, it is not desirable.  So if everyone repented they would receive a new heart, a pure heart, and be clothed in righteousness.  That means no matter how bad they were, they would be changed and so I would be happy.

Christ wants to save all humanity. That is why he died on the cross for everyone. It would be like living a heaven on earth with frustrating sinful natures battling satans war. I'm not perfect, just forgiven!

Delighted that He did, the opportunity is open to all, if they will step through the door from death to life.

Christ opened the door, but it's our choice if we step through into eternity, or choose to stay stuck in temporal sin and damnation.

As you said, God sent His Son to save us all. Jesus died for everyone's sins and He rose again. It is our choice to believe in Jesus. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everybody said yes to Jesus, that everybody made that choice? Awesome. I cannot think of anything greater than that.

Thank you for your comments, but with the ecception of Youcanwin, none of you have answered the question. I didnt ask for a church theology answer, I asked how you would feel if all are saved. BTW, if any of you think that your free will can save you, Christ beat you to it when He said "It is finished".

Your question was not sincere. You were trying to start a debate to have a platform for a false belief system that twists the Word of God and creates a farce of the death and resurrection of Christ. You were never interested in our answers.  Not good

It is true, that I was open for discussion, but it is your belief that is thee twisted false belief. It dates back to A.D.500 by the catholic church. This false belief makes our saviour an utter failure, and God a hypocrite.

    Elated!

    Relieved!

    Overjoyed!

But I remain saddened that so many are not taking advantage of it. They remain huddled in darkness, afraid of the light.

It depends on which religion you follow because in Hindu religion what ever he did was done by countless saints. They even cut off their head and offered it to gods and yet their head was back on their necks. I dont think he saved humanity but then who follow him think so. I got no problem in that.
