   Good question with an easy answer: yes.
   
   Why?
   
   1) It's safer than both alcohol and tobacco, and impossible to overdose on.
   2) It's not physically addictive, making it as "addictive" as chocolate or sex.
   3) It has dozens of accepted medicinal uses.
   4) Throwing people in prison for using a recreational drug that is leagues safer and less addictive than alcohol and tobacco is silly and hypocritical.
   
   Those are the best four reasons I can think of right now, but there are many more.

   I agree with TheWinKing but want to add that I think it should be *fully* legalized. That is, no taxes, no regulation on people growing their own. They should be able to sell it at the farmers markets (but not to minors). Otherwise, the whole thing turns into a big expensive mess for everyone.

   Yes.  If the 18th and 21st constitutional amendments ot the American Constitution is of any indication, the answer is always yes.
   
   Yes because pot is NOT a narcotic.  Narcotics can be overdosed.  Pot cannot be overdosed.
   
   Yes because it'll end most of the violence in the western hemisphere.

   I don't see why not, however there should be some system in place as for 'drink driving'.  Driving when stoned is still unsafe.

   Marijuana is a drug just like all others with positive and also negative side effects. Alcohol prohibition didn't stop people from drinking and it is the same with all other drugs. We will use them with or without permission. Why? I have pondered about this question in my little hub:
