The bible says love your enemies and pray for those who despitefully use you. If someone proves to you that they are your enemy pray for them. God said vengeance is mine I will repay.
I have always wondered how Christians and Muslims could believe that they worship the same God
Treat Muslims as human, humanity is the base of modern society. I am not happy with some Christian sects which accuse other religion as follower of Satan, and their saints or prophets as 'impostors'.
We should treat them with divine love. As we know not all muslims are radical or extreme. Nevertheless, whether they are friend or foe, we must treat them with the love of God.
God's Word states that we should prefer the brethren... that being understood, it also instructs us to be kind and upright in all our dealings with everyone.
That too, being understood, no matter what another may express as his/her faith, including a position that "trusts" that there is no g/God, you have a right to defend yourself against aggression.
In other words prefer the brethren, conduct your behavior toward "all" others with kindness, defend yourself against evil.
Matthew 10:16 pretty much sums it up: "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd [phronimos - intelligent, prudent, sensible, wise] as serpents [as your enemy is] and innocent [akeraios - not mixed (mingled); not a destructive mixture because not tainted by sinful motives (ambitions); pure (unmingled)] as doves."
With the love of God, through our Lord Christ Jesus' example.
No different from what Jesus would have us do as He would do Himself.
With love and mutual respect!
Does this really need to be a question? You treat each other the same as you want to be treated, regardless of race, creed or political persuasion.
We as Christians should treat everyone, regardless of their spiritual beliefs as welcome because they, too, are human beings created by God. Love one another is a universal rule for everyone, and if we separate those who regard Mohammed as their Spiritual head, then we are being judgemental. Treat all people as you want them to treat you; that is what this writer believes.
I would like to thank everyone for such great answers. CMCastro I believe you are right in stating that "love" is the universal rule. Therefore, your reply has been awarded "best answer". Thank you.
Always with love. We are to live as Jesus did and he did not turn away from anyone no matter their color, religion or lifestyle. He loved them like his flesh and blood brothers and sisters.
Muslims should be treated with respect, kindness, and gentleness. "with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth," II Timothy 2:25, NASB.
If Muslims decide that they would like to persecute Christians, Christians are to respond with kindness.
"Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse." Romans 12:14, NASB.
"not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing." I Peter 3:9, NASB.
With that being said, we still have to oppose their doctrine. A Christian should want the Muslim to be saved, and make efforts to teach. "with gentleness opposing those who are in opposition..." II Tim. 2:25.
"If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting;" II John 1:10, NASB. I don't believe this verse is saying I'm not aloud to have a member of a false religion in my house. What I do believe it is saying is that we cannot ever show support of one's decision to teach and practice falsehood.
So right you are GuardedMouth. I voted you a thumbs up!
No religion in this world should unleash hatred against another religion as religion means humanism which consists of love, peace ,mercy and all humane qualities .No matter whether you are a Christian or Hindu or Muslim or Jain or Buddhist or Jew ,what you should do is to judge one in respect of her or his humanity,to find whether she or he is good or bad .If you find her or him bad ,you should counsel properly applying psychological thesis and make her or him apt for our society where she or he can contribute further for the sake of our happiness and development .I think all religions say so.Above all the classification of religions is only for the diversity of cultures and geographical vastness and distance lest it must be unified religion all over the world.
With love!
Add to that a good measure of compassion, generosity, wisdom, faith and humility.

One of the greatest tricks of the devil is to get Christians wasting their time in arguing and debating with unbelievers. Unbelievers will not understand Christianity, unless God opens their eyes (the eyes of their understanding). One way of knowing the truth is to humbly and sincerely open the...
