Is it true that 85% of all statistical questions are made up?
Is it true that 85% of all statistical questions are made up on the spot just to create a cool statistical HubPages question?
Yes, but don't forget, it's 85% with a margin of error of 203.8%.
Of course they are made up as is every question. However, each question has a purpose to someone. For example, there was a study conducted on one question. "What floor should be used to drag sheep?" Now, this might seem odd, even so, the study was for a sheep sheering company. If the floor was too hard, then the sheep would become damaged from digging their hooves into the floor. If the floor was too soft and smooth, then the workers would slip while dragging the sheep.
Every answer matters to someone.
I believe statistics can be manipulated or quoted to suit the individual's purpose. I don't think statistics always or at least accurately represent the truth.
