How do you think Mitt Romney did in the first presidential debate?
He did fairly well, he won the debate, although president Obama managed to make him say a few things that can harm him in the future.
Noticed those few things too... Misquoting will definitely occur. But remember "Mr. President, your entitled to your house and your jet, but your not entitled to your own facts."
One of those things was switching an 18 month stance on a $5 trillion tax cut. He is the king of flip flopping. It will be interesting to see what kind of impact he has on Ryan's debate.
Romney obviously won the first debate ,no if,ands, or buts, and he gets to fight another day, and a chance to restart his campaign .The cost though is he lost Florida by admitting he wants to turn medicare into a voucher program.
I thought he did well. He seemed to be well informed on the issues and defended him positions well.
He did very well, he was completely knowledgable and upbeat. He looked a lot more Presidential then Obama did.
He needs a fact checker at his side. He likes to lie. He was a better debater this round but when Ryan speaks, listen for the perjuries.
Fact checkers are saying Obama was off base more often than Romney last night. Even the CNN fact checkers.....
I'm sure his unicorn was backstage, so I'm not sure why he didn't just ride out on it. I'd really like to see it. And I wish all the damn fact-checkers would stop trying to tell me it is just a horse painted white with a horn super-glued on its head. I don't care. don't you get it? I just want to hop on the back with Mitt and ride off into Happy Fairytale Land.
I thought he did very well indeed. Much better than I expected. I'm not a MItt guy and have felt he could not debate well. Newt had him studdering for answers several times, and I have generally not liked his specific answers when he is before voters or being interveiwed.
I want to here more of his plans specific intent and see where he places the nuts and bolts, what is he going to do. All of this said: I must support him for President, mostly because I believe in Paul Ryan's conservative views and feel he will have impact and influence during the Administration.
I do feel Mitt missed several chances to dig deep into accusations made by Obama that Republicans are responsible for the colapse of the housing market, and that we support Corporations moving factories overseas. A little memory and research by anyone on the Internet will show the Democratic (Liberal/Progressive) Party is responsible for GATT/NAFTA, and the change in formulas used by banks during Clintons Administration in 1995-97 are to blame.
Challenge me and I'll point all of you to that information.
Good Job Mitt!
He is so far out of touch with the pulse of the "Average" American, It is very scary. It would be like having Donald Trump in the White House. They run in the same circles. Do you think Romney knows what it is like to do without anything? Never!!
Don't think Romney has been without much in his life. But, neither was Franklin D. Roosevelt. It seems funny that Democrats never see Democrats whom have money.
At anyrate, people without money rarely get into the White House.
He lives in Belmont Massachusetts... Which is an affluent area. He may have not been without but he can budget and can make tough decisions that need to be made financially. He is a business man true. All the better for the profit of our country!

Who won the presidential debate last night, Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?
by Alex J. Reissig 11 years ago
What did everyone think of the first Presidential Debate?Pretty much all of the newsstations are saying Romney was the winner of the first Presidential debate. CBS polling says he won 2 to 1; CNN polls say 67% of those polled believe Romney won. If you watched the debate (or the...

When Romney caught Obama regarding "a terrorist act in Benghazi" and then pointed out the White House didn't make that known for 2 weeks.Tomorrows headlines will be buzzing.

Before anyone else opens a forum about this, and I know the debate is still going on. However assuming you saw this thread after the debate, who do you think won? Did Biden beat Trump? Or do you think Trump owned Biden in the debate? Please discuss.

How do you think the President did in the first presidential debate?

Habee got the jump on the debate last time. This time, it's my turn.I predict that Obama is going to end up with 4 minutes more speaking time. Liberals will complain that Romney was rude, interrupted Obama, and bullied the moderator. Conservatives will complain that the moderator is biased, and...
