You are being offered two jobs, which one would you take?
The first job is more or less in the same field you have worked in for years, has benefits but isn't 'family friendly'.
The second job is in a field that you would love to work in and you can really see yourself 'loving' going to work everyday, has benefits and IS 'family friendly' but it is almost half the hourly wage of the first job.
Which one would you take?
This is a tough one. It really all depends. You should take these things into consideration: How much do you need the money? Are you in a position to take a position that will pay less? Would you be satisfied with a job that truly makes you happy?
I personally would probably take the job that I love, as long as there was room to grow and it was stable employment.
It's the age old war of the head & the heart. The head is saying go with the first, the heart is saying go with the second. The first puts a giant weight on my shoulders and the second makes me excited to think about. It's tough to be an adult!
I would take the second one, if you love job enough in due time you'll make more money and have a feeling of fulfillment.
