    I think most men whether they admit it or not doesn't want anyone else marking their tree like a bear, you know?  lol  I believe there is some sense of control in every man, be it passive or aggressive because they are territorial creatures.

    A woman, however I don't think is outspoken. I think she just doesn't like to be controlled and maybe her outspokenness is mistaken for her obvious reflex to set herself free from a controlling situation.

    Very few people of either sex wants to be controlled or nagged. When two people come together there is a leader and follower. In an ideal relationship they think of themselves as being "partners" but at the end of the day one person will usually have (the final say) especially in a marriage. That will vary from one marriage to the next. The goal in any relationship is to find someone who (naturally agrees) with you on the important things in life as well as share your same values.
    There is no amount of "communication" or "work" that can overcome being with someone who does not want what you want. One man's opinion!:-)
