What should be done if the ballots cast exceeds registered voters in a precinct?
If the total number of ballots cast exceeds registered voters in any given precinct, what action should be taken? Automatic recount or what?
This would sound like a case of voter fraud or perhaps more accurately "election fraud."
Diebold has already been caught with substandard equipment which is hackable! One Florida election official found one machine in their precinct had yielded a negative vote! Minus 64,000! Such is a logical impossibility, unless someone is monkeying with the equipment.
I'm afraid American elections have been suspect for several years. I can only wonder when the last "real" election was honestly held.
But someone has made it abundantly clear that the country is divided. Again, margins seem painfully slim. Is this artificial or real? Did Bush really win only by a few hundred votes in 2000? I think someone is playing with us.
During the run up to the GOP presidential convention, the primaries contained dozens of instances of election fraud. Because the GOP is a private club, no laws were broken. Wow! Fraud during the primaries is okay! Yeah! Let's do more fraud!
But seriously, the WXIX "Reality Check" series, many of which can be found on YouTube or their website show just how bad America has become on elections. Changing votes, zeroing out votes, ignoring votes, arresting on trumped up charges chairpersons who like opposing candidates. Ballot stuffing caught on video. This could be a rip roaring comedy! But it isn't.
Is it any wonder that so many states have issued petitions to secede from the Union -- 50 states! The gestures seem to be purely symbolic, at least effectively. I'm sure that Texas would need millions of signatures, not thousands.
But when the government breaks the contract (the Constitution) that binds them to the people and the States, then that government no longer stands as a representative of the people. Secession may well be a good thing. Heck, America was founded on seceding from England, because of abuses far less in scope than those assaulting our liberties today.
Election fraud in a precinct is bad, but it's rampant and nationwide. What to do? Complain to the government? No. They and their Corporate Party lobbyist handlers are the perpetrators. That would be like a sheep complaining to a pack of wolves about the vote on what is for lunch.
There's no way to know if fraud has occurred with electronic voting equipment. There's no verifiable audit trail. It's all electrons, and as a programmer, I know they're not trustworthy when the programmer isn't.
"America was founded on seceding from England, because of abuses far less in scope than those assaulting our liberties today."
To true by far. Our founding fathers, and those who fought to create this country, would revolt against this government
I think one can assume that elections are no longer decided by the voters, when such information as you mention is known, you have to wonder just how many votes were changed or added that are not known about.
Computers without a paper trail, and voters who do not have to provide ID of who they are, guarantees elections will be tampered with, and fraud will be common place. The difference between Obama's re-election, and that of Hugo Chavez, is minimal. Neither election was free of abuses or corruption on behalf of the winning party.
Have Federal standards for national elections. States can't be trusted to hold the elections. Have the same standards across the country.
Automatic recount, and the winning person and the party should feel happy that their candidate has won the election.

Reports from Georgia and Texas reveal people waiting in line to vote for up to 8 hours. This should simply not occur in our country. It is flat-out voter suppression and intimidation to make somebody wait 8 hours to vote.Where I live, I received my ballot in the mail. I filled it out the same day....
