Should companies be doing something for the thousands of waste products that they produce everyday?
Coca-Cola or Pepsi plastic bottles for example, these company should collect every empty bottle back to their warehouse. Distributors and retailers should be given an incentive to keep this working and consumers should also get something back by doing this. This way, garbage problems will be lessen.
Also, plastic wrappers like chips, candies, shampoos, every single company!
Definitely!!! Companies should be doing their share to clean up their mess. Consumers can help them do this in various ways which can also be income generating. For instance, collecting empty plastic bottles has been a source of income for scavengers who sell them to junk shops which is a typical practice in some developing countries. Garbage for some can be another's goodies.
Yeah, one of the richest person in China collects junks. And there are people who collects empty bottles but what about those plastic wrappers? What about in places where there's no single person who collects these empty bottles and other scraps?
There is a ton of needless waste on all our parts and yes companies play a huge part in the waste. The paper waste in my last employer was just incredible..Maybe an incentive based program would help? It seems that companies who can generate additional incomes are willing to do their part then.I would like to see the idea of tax incentives for companies that recycle their waste to be considered and checked into by our politicians.

I have often wondered this since recycling is so reported in the world as being important. Since visiting the local recycling drop off it seems few people actually recycle.
