What is the best way to deal with the hubs that are not featured?
Is there a positive way of dealing with the unfeatured hubs?
Here are three options:
1. Improve the hub. Edit it. Resolve any grammatical or writing issues; add more photos, make it better and more interesting. Change the title to use keywords people are likely to Google. (Don't worry about changing the URL, you can't and it doesn't matter.)
2. If you don't care too much about earnings, change your settings to display idle hubs, and Hubpages readers will find it, even though Google will not show it.
3. Create two accounts. Put active (not idle) hubs on one account for earnings. Put hubs that go idle or are not for money-making on another account, and allow that account to show all hubs, including idle ones.
SidKemp has covered so much more than I knew so I am giving him an accolade. I usually just go through the hubs for typos, grammar and then decide whether to tweak the title on not. That usually gets them featured again.
The suggestions are all good. However, I am tired of the emphasis by Hub Pages on encouraging more photos. I use to design the front page of the daily paper where I worked and understand the need for a pleasing page design. With the design limitations on Hub Pages, I think an excessive number of pictures can be distracting. I have a few hubs with more than one picture and one with three videos. Most of the time, I just use one piece of art to break up the gray area at the top of the Hub. I then depend on my writing skills (and that may be a mistake) in the hope that the reader will be attracted by the single piece of art and will read the Hub. In my opinion, the Hub is about writing. If you have pictures or videos to add, I have no objections, but it should not be expected for all hubs. I will add that good titles or headlines attract me to Hubs more than pictures or videos.

We all know that we must keep our Articles fresh and up to date, right? Well, I'm sitting here staring at one of mine with the subject, "Idle Hubs". My problem is that for a while it managed to gather several thousand Views. But now, the whole Idle Hub scenario has been eliminated. SO, my...

I recently (within the past few hours) published a hub...Christmas in a Shelter ... which has already been crawled by Google (101 minutes ago). The hub has not been approved to be featured yet and I did not check the box on my profile to show idle hubs. I also did not put any tags on this hub so I...

Are the hubs without an 'H' next to them idle hubs? And if so why do I suddenly have so many?Does this mean that the person or persons who are checking them decide that they are not good enough all of a sudden after two years of being on the internet? I personally think Hubpages is trying to...

I know that you can choose to display your idle hubs on your profile page, but I don't, because I don't want Google to see them at all and get confused by all those "do not follow." What this means is that my idle hubs are not available for anyone to see, and I have to actively...

After a hub was published, it is taking 24 hours to get that hub featured. After getting featured, now the problem was with Indexing of the same into Google Search-engine. It takes months sometimes for a hub to get indexed into Google search engine and getting fair traffic from the same.I am using...
