Who are the top teams in the NHL?
Given the short season, I am expecting the team with the hot goaltender and a solid backup to compete. No room for error so a bad night or two can really set a team into the bottom of the standings.
I'm expecting Vancouver to make the Conference Finals, along with LA. Think Boston or Pittsburgh from the east.
You?
Well, it might come down to a couple other factors too. You can't forget about what team stays healthy, what team is more ready to go right away, and what team gets hot at the right time. I, personally, hope that the Flyers do all of those things, and win the Stanley Cup. Go Flyers!
Which team can stay the healthiest or get hot in the tail end of the season is pretty difficult to predict, so I am just going off of what we can see on paper. Should be an exciting season!
