Are You And Your Family Ready For Spring Tornado Season?

Spring tornado season will soon be here and with global warming they could be worse than ever. Are you and your family ready for tornado's. Do you know what to do if you hear their is a tornado warning?  Or a tornado watch? Have you told your children what they should do? Does your family have a place to meet after a tornado and a disaster plan in place. If not maybe you should. Are you ready for tornado season.

Most of my 64 years have been spent on the southern Rolling Plains. I've been through tornadoes and rumors of tornadoes, straight-line wind gusts of epic proportions, grapefruit-size hail and flash floods the aftermath of which made a tornado seem like a stiff breeze. Here on the Texas Red River (yes, the deluded Okies claim it's theirs) preparedness for severe thunderstorms is an engrained part of living here.

Well in South Carolina there has already been watches and warnings in the last week oddly enough.  I love tornadoes and when I was a child I wanted to be a storm chaser... I was even big on hurricanes.  Well, I still am and I am definitely ready to face this season!

Many years ago I have, but not in a long time.  I am still not sure if that is a good or bad thing... Haha.
