   Do you believe your time at Hubpages helps your online writing outside of the site?

   I do not write much outside generally. Still, I would say that hubpages do help in writing in general.
   1. It gives more practice to writing which in turns helps in writing better quality at faster rates.
   2. While it forces one to research at times before writing, it allows one's knowledge to increase which ultimately helps in writing on similar topics from different perspectives, whether on hubpages or elsewhere.
   3. While writing on a specific subjects, other ideas do crop up. So writing helps generate ideas that could be developed into articles on hubpages itself or outside.

   Of course it does, and writing even on Facebook helps my writing on this site and others.  All writing is writing.

   Oh yes!  It has polished my writing skills and I have learned much from other hub writers.  Being part of a community is so encouraging and supportive, and Hubpages is a great example of this for me.

   I have gleaned a lot from my time on HubPages. They have given me a start to my new phase of online writing. I even wrote two Hubs about what I have learned during my tenure on this site. I would recommend it to others who are thinking of beginning. It's well worth the learning curve, and besides, you're not alone in your writing journey. You have a host of wonder writers whose expertise you can draw upon.

   HubPages is a great platform to practice our writing on.  I love the way this community helps encourage fellow hub writers to keep going and how each are willing to point out our good points as well as our bad. There is not near the rudeness here when dealing with criticism as we see on other sites.  I appreciate that.  I know I have much more work to do. Yes, HubPages will help make the difference in our writing everywhere we post it.

   Writing is writing regardless of the target medium. Writing is a craft that requires constant practice to endure and improve. Where a piece of writing is published, whether or not it is ever published anywhere, does not matter in the least in terms of working one's craft.
