How do you change the picture shown next to a hub in "Spotlight Hubs"?

I would like to change the picture that is shown next to my hub when it is in the "Spotlight". For some reason, the picture shown is not the picture at the top of the hub itself. When the hub is not in the spotlight, the top picture is, however, shown next to the summary.

I have the same thing happening to my spotlighted hubs. It shows the first image in the summary but it uses the second image in the spotlight.  It happens to all the spotlighted hubs that have more than one image.

The only way to change the image used in the spotlight is to change the second image in the hub.

(This information is accurate based on the way it is presently programmed. We never know if HP will change this method in the future).

first go to your hub that you would like to change the pic on then click edit. then go to the photo and click edit again and choose the photo in replace. see if that helps ya.

You have discovered the undocumented special effect that occurs when the first photo in you hub is "undersized." A week ago I updated my hub on advanced tips for the photo capsule to include this feature. http://howards.hubpages.com/hub/Photo-C … s-HubPages
I am unable to paste a precise link here, so you will have to scroll down to the section heading, "Special effects with minimum photo sizes." This hub also happens to illustrate the effect in that the spotlight photo on my profile page is not the first one in the hub.

You can "spotlight" the undersize photo, if you wish, by entering a photo editor and stretching the photo to a minimum of 150 pixels high by 200 pixels wide

(@Glen Stok's answers are generally very helpful, but in this case do not fit my data.)

Thanks, Howard,  for adding that additional information about the minimum size for images to be used in the spotlight.

Thank you all for your responses. I just want to also clarify that it is not the matter that the top figure itself is incorrect, it is just that the picture shown in my spotlight shows the second picture within the hub itself. When the hub is not in the spotlight it, however, shows the correct top picture.

Glenn and Howard: Thank you for your answers, I will try them out and see if they can resolve my issues. In particular, I had no idea at all that resolution of the picture would limit its usability in the spotlight.
