How to drive in more search engine traffic, and traffic overall
This topic might be one that gets asked the most. I'm sure you'll get plenty of good advice. Here's mine, for what it's worth:
- Supply quality content. That means useful, informative, with plenty of media besides text.
- Pay attention to the SEO aspects of your hubs (a topic too detailed for here), especially your keywords, title, headings. Use Adwords or other tools to fine tune this.
- Share your hubs to as much social media as you can, such as FB, Twitter, Stumbleupon, relevant forums, etc. Be careful not to spam or be perceived as a spammer.
- Submit similar, but not duplicate content, with backlinks to your hubs in other article sites, such as Articlesbase.com
- Send out your RSS feed and figure out how to get people to subscribe.
Remember, too, that some of your articles are just not going to get traction. So, keep producing hubs. It just takes a few that go viral to make you some money.
Hope that helps!
There are several ways to get more search engine traffic, briefly:
- Create great content that contains the keywords you want to rank for
- Use titles and URLs that contain your keywords
- Use appropriate headings in your articles
- Develop a reputation as an expert on your subject
- Get backlinks to your site from other reputable sites
I have written a hub that covers all of this in detail, 'How to get traffic to your website', you can find it linked from my profile.
Keywords in titles, headings, body, yes. Keywords in the URL, not so much. That's a very minor factor.
It might be a minor factor, but it doesn't hurt to do it; just as well to squeeze as much as you can out of every aspect of on-site SEO.
Getting Search engine traffic on HubPages needs only
Keyword Research - Finding Long Tail Keywords related to your Topic
Keyword rich and Attractive Title - Combination of 3-4 keyword phrases you researched
Writing a original and quality article using keywords within, Use keywords with in paragraphs that looks natural and make sense have much more value.
Its enough to get search engine traffic.
Back Links and Social Bookmarking not have much value now , even you don't need it for HubPages. You can get some instant direct traffic but not effective for long term. Also it is not easy to get quality back link, you can publish a hub in time you spend to get a good quality back link.
I also written a Hub on getting regular Search Engine Traffic and how I am getting.
Hi Reef,
After following the Casimiro instructions, you may need to link building of your hubs, submit your hubs to high PR related blog directories and use your hub link in your blog comments and forum posting in hub pages forums and in other blogs and forums. As soon as you get some good back links your long tail keywords will rank on first page of Google as mine has ranked.

How much search engine traffic are you getting compared to hubpages traffic?I'm just curious. Most of my traffic comes from hubpages. I get a little from google but not too much. I was wondering what other people are experiencing and if you have any advice on how to get more google traffic?

I am still new to Hubpages and have been enjoying a rather successful start. Thank you to those who have voted my articles up and those few of you who have begun to follow me. But I have noticed one thing of late and maybe it is the way it goes but I think it is disrespectful. I have commented on a...

I noticed with me, I get a lot of my traffic later after 4 PM. I believe this may be because of time zones primarily, and a few other reasons. I live on the east coast so people in the west are in different time zones 1-3 hours behind..

Hi everyone,I’ve been here 4 months and had hoped by now I’d be earning something from Google, but I’ve not earned a dollar. From feedback, I know the quality of my writing is strong so it’s something else that’s causing poor traffic and almost non-existent clicks. I read several tutorials...
