Should men who do not play child support receive government assistance?
If a man or woman for that matter is not taking financial, emotional, or physical support of their child, should they be allowed government assistance?
Yes, if they qualify. A husband/father returns from Afghanistan with horrible PTSD. Because of this the wife/mother divorces him for the sake of the children. Than man cannot even support himself. Make it a car wreck or cancer or schizophrenia the result can be the same. And yes the gender should make no difference.
If otherwise perfectly healthy and a scumbag yes, by way of a nice room with bars.
I see your point and agree 100%.. I have seen the affects of PTSD and mental illness on the psyche. well said.
Yes, it is not their fault that these mental illnesses have left them completely helpless. They cannot even take care of themselves, let along anyone else at the moment. People need to look at each circumstance instead of blanketing the whole system.
I agree their is a huge difference between an able-bodied man and a mentally ill one and there should be laws protecting them.

We've been having a really great discussion on tax rates today, and I've been noticing an underlying theme throughout the thread, so I'll just ask the "tough question" directly. This question has three parts:A) Should the wealthy have to pay a larger percentage in taxes in order to...
