Does Hubpage traffic generally increase over time?
Assuming that your hub is pretty informative, fun to read, and basically a good page, does traffic generally increase as time goes on. Obviously traffic won't keep increasing for years, but how long does it generally take until hubs reach their maximum traffic potential? Two weeks? Two months?
Just looking for some experienced hubbers that have noticed trends.
A while ago, HubPages itself said that it can take a Hub up to three years to reach its full potential.
I suppose that could make sense.. hmm do you notice older hubs are usually the ones that end up getting the most traffic?
I think this is true. I am focusing on revamping underperforming hubs or just eliminating them if they can not be fixed.
My traffic increased after i hit 90 hubs in 3 years. Then i joined Hub challenge, my traffic maintain the same rate all the time.
My experience has been that a good quality evergreen hub generally takes 4 - 6 months to get traction in the search results and about a year to start reaching its full potential. (If it hasn't done anything much in 5 months then I'll start reworking it).
Of course it's going to depend on the topic, how much competition there is, whether you're going for a phrase with a lot of "fresh" results (in general I'd avoid these), what other websites link to you and what the traffic potential of the main keyphrase is to begin with. A great hub that focuses on a phrase with only 100 searches per month is unlikely to ever a great deal of traffic.
There are *a lot* of variables, but when it comes to writing online patience is a character trait you will need in bucket loads.

Earlier I posted that people should go and make links going to other sites that do not belong to you nofollow. Then someone mentioned that if your hubber score is less than 85 then "every link" will be nofollow. But this is not what HubPages says. HubPages says:"If your HubberScore...

As fast as I'm trying to fix up hubs that are unfeatured, the problem isn't that there is something wrong with them, but that they are being unfeatured as a result of lack of traffic. Isn't this short sighted? Some topics just don't get that much traffic. It's not because they are badly written,Is...

I used to be totally addicted to HP, couldn't wait to log on everyday to see what was happening, who and what was popping in the forums, what interesting hub made HOTD, and of course, how my stats and earnings were progressing. I looked forward to the rush I got from clicking "publish"...

I looked for hubs that explained hub metrics but failed in my quest. I am still trying to find the right browser that will not time out or encourage Explorer 8 to not display a web page.My topic concerns hub metrics. I have complete 100 hubs and not earned 100 cents yet.Earnings is not the issue...
