    Yep, Chris Rea, Steel River:-
'In rainy streets we'd kiss away the shivers
And hide from fear inside the latest craze
    Dancing to Motown
    Making love with a
    Carol King record playing'.
    Anton, Rea.

Many.  The most significant is that I had gotten some records for my 15th birthday (in the days before CD's). I was listening to Bus Stop by the Hollies and my aunt came in and told me the hospital called and my mom had died.  Can't listen to that song anymore without it all rushing back.

Yes. It's not my favorite song ever, but when I graduated from high school, our class song, at our prom, was " We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters. It was #1 at the time, of course. The song and the lyrics couldn't have been more appropriate than at a time when we all "kissed good luck and were on our way"

Oh yea. That song was popular when I was dating my future husband. Loved it and the lyrics were very profound as were planning our future together. (well--I was anyway...LOL)  Still married 43 years later.

And after 43 years together, I'd bet you still look at each other and say, " We've only just begun."  That's the secret to your 43 years. Congrats!

Great question Lady_E, my ole pal!
From the time it was released, I hummed "The Mamas and the Papas"' "Monday, Monday".  No matter what day!  I felt like every day was reflected in that musical piece, so there you go.
    Great to 'see' ya.
