Just curious is it just me or was anyone else really disappointed in The Walking Dead this season?

Yes, highlighted by the lackluster finale. I might even write a Hub about it.

My feelings were up and down. I was definitely bothered by some of the characters, and there were a few episodes that left me feeling disappointed. And the finale wasn't what I was expecting, but not in a good way.

Yea the finale was a real disappointment.  I was hoping the Governor would be dead by the finale and we would move on to other plots in season 4 but it looks like that's not what the writers had in mind. thanks for your comment!

This season was a little blah.  I think their being in the prison was kind of boring

Yea I definitely agree. whenever they are too stationary it gets a little boring to me. I felt bored when they were on the farm all that time during season 2. I couldn't wait for them to leave. But after this season I actually prefer the farm.

Yes, at least the farm was pleasant scenery. The gray of the prison is like a permanent dreary day.

I have more of an issue with unfocused scripts and poor character execution than I have with the story setting. They could've been anywhere, but with such scripts, the end result would've been the same.

Definitely Thief12. Unfocused scripts is right on. It was unfocused episodes with scattered content which neither gave the viewers  insight or moved the story forward. In a word - filler episodes they thought created build-up instead it was let down.

As usual the acting left much to be desired. If they're all going to do a Southern drawl, they need to get voice coaches, because most of their accents are pretty bad. They sound more mentally challenged than Southern.

There was real potential with the warring settlements, but then it just fizzled out rather predictably.  Merle was the highlight of the season, I wish they would have killed off Rick or his boy instead, those two are by far the worst actors on the show.  At least they still kept Maggie and Glen!
