Every one likes to fly for the full life span but the social compulsions pull the persons down and when a person is free from worries than even though wings are not that strong but will to fly makes a person to fly for the rest of worry free life.

Very interesting take on my question.  I, of course, mean to ask it very literally.  smile

To be able to fly with wings, as a passenger or pilot of an aircraft? No, a full half life is no worth that even although I love flying. To fly with one's own wings, like an angel? Still no - I'll be able to do that after I have left this physical world behind (I believe) so I'll have all of eternity to fly then.

Overall, I could not give up a half a day let alone a half a lifetime without seeing and spending time with my two young sons. They really ARE that important to me as I know that the love I have for them is worth more than anything and, when we are together, it feels like I am flying anyway.

    No.
I'm scared of heights. Giving up half of my life to fly would be a waste, cause I'd sit there being too scared to fly! Ha!

Half of a lifespan to be able to fly? And the other half to be able to dive and live under water? Where then is there life to live on land?

I asked nothing of water.  We can go underwater - for a long time with gear.  This is not a debate about what's better.  I wasn't "dissing" life on land.  The question I asked is the question on the table.

Heck yes. When I'm figure skating I feel like I'm flying when I am performing jumps and racing around the ice rink and would love to actually fly under my own power. Where do I sign up smile

No. I see no reason in the world to do this.

no, i have the so-called height phobia. When i climb the ladder to change the curtains, i can't see down the floor either. No way would i give up my life span!

NO! Though I would love to be able to fly, and have often dreamed of flying, I love my life and living more.  I'm not willing to give up even one hour of my life because I have so much more to experience, to learn, to see, to give and to receive.  Each moment I am given to breathe is a gift from God.  I'm grateful to fly on airplanes and am looking forward to the day when I can take a space shuttle into outer space.

Um...huh?  I agree with your comment, but don't understand how it relates to my flight question.
