   What are some of the funniest superstitions you see people swear by?
   
   Do you or someone you know register neck in neck with the superstition cat, lol? Have you ever or do you know someone who would never cross a black cat and a does a swan dive on your side to avoid splitting a pole? If so, do tell your tale?

   Brittvan22, I am a Holy Roller Christian, I even preach and teach every Sunday and I truly love it.
   
   But I have to empathize with my atheist brothers and sisters whom I love so dearly. They must think that our turning bread and wine into Christ is just about the funniest thing ever.
   
   For me, well it is sad but I do not have one I think is funny, because I empathize with whoever holds the superstition.
   But I truly do look forward to answers here as with writers there must be some doozeys.

      Lol, I do as well. Martin Luther would argue the point of the real presence of Christ in the elements. I went to seminary and I think have to interesting points I hubbed on some of my exegetical work.

      Brittvan22, I wonder at the wisdom of the writers of our Gospels when the edited out all the deep belly laughs Christ must have had. I know he has a great sense of humor, because he laughs with me all day long. Maybe those old guys were superstitious

      Given the different Jewish sects of some of the disciples some would call them superstitious. Essences, Sadducees, Pharisees, and otr sects their end time beliefs and beliefs on angels, etc.

   this question brings to mind a conversation i had with a cousin one day. it was friday the thirteenth, and i mentioned that i was not superstitious so that day didnt bother me, in fact i considered it my lucky day. he looked at me with a smirk and said "so you arent superstitious, eh"? i had to stop a minute and figure out what he was getting at...then it dawned on me what i said was being just as superstitious as those who considered it a bad day, lol.
