      I like your answer. However, didn't Jesus mention ghosts when he assured the apostles that he was not one after his resurrection? Not arguing, just something I've always wondered about...

   Yes. I am a Seer (Seers are those who can look into the future, past, etc.). My grandmother was one too. ESP also works from time to time...
   
   About the "influence others" part, that is just a matter of mastering "intent" and "perception". The better at it, the better one can manipulate this three dimensional perspective.

   I have the uncanny ability to predict future events just seconds as they happen. LOL.
   Seriously, I am very sensitive to Ghosts, Spirits and Demons. I always have been since I was a child, but now even more so. I've had so many things happen that has convinced me that I am sensitive.
   I can be walking down the street, and I see someone that just does not belong in this time period, as if they were from another time. One time I saw a guy dressed in an early 1930's suit. Bowler hat, and a cane. I smiled, he tipped his hat and when I turned to look back, he was gone.
   We have a ghost that comes here in visitation and I have captured a few EVP's and also a couple pictures.
   I see these Spirits all the time and as I say to my wife, Its not the spirits that scare me, its the living. One time I was a funeral home to do some paper work to make some final preparations for the inevitable, and as I was in a meeting room, the director was taking a call in his office, and I felt someone tapping my shoulder. I turned and a man in an army uniform stood there, and he smiled at me, and then poof he was gone. The secretary came in to tell me something and I told her about the spirit. I expected her to just shrug it off, but she said that she always runs into spirits there. I told the director about the spirit asking if the room we were in was used for prepping of the bodies for service, and he said that it was next door. across the hall.  We concluded our business, and I went up the stairs to leave when I looked into the sanctuary and there standing next to a casket was the soldier, i looked down and it was the man in the casket. He said,"tell them  i'm happy."  I told the director to convey the message, and he did. As I left the spirit said "Thank you." smiled and vanished.
   So yes, I do believe it is curse and a gift, but it does not happen all the time. just on occasions.

      Very cool! I lived in an old farmhouse I was convinced was haunted. I would hear the piano play in the night, think it was the cats on the keys, only to find that the key cover was closed in the morning. Eerie.

      I lived in an old house where there was apparently a suiside in the attic. I used to always feel the presents of someone there. and then we moved out.  a couple years later the guy that moved in tried to kill himself claiming voices told him to.

   I believe we all do have energy, but to control people and thing's, no.
   I have studied ALOT on all of this Alan Watts, the Kahuna's, so many people. They 'know' a lot of people fall into this trap with thinking I can control people yada yada yada, when really.. Your getting carried away with belief and they are just thinking they can. Anything someone does is by they're own, I could go day's about it cause I hate the fact that people think this but no they're is no influencing anyone unless your very skilled and super aware at influencing, BUT! You can't 'control' them haha anything they do is a reason of their own. I hope that answer's your question.
