What makes earnings for a day go down?
Example: on a specific day I had 29 cents in earnings. A week later, the 29 cents changed to 19.
There's a recent forum about Google AdSense ads being disabled... I don't know if that might have something to do with it...
Because I'm noticing 0 earnings from AdSense since yesterday and I published two hubs... this is not typical....
Thoughts?
They didn't say my adsense had been disabled. How could I find that forum?
Nancy,
Here is the forum I had seen - and my views had not gone down either - http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/114217
Earnings is based on views to your hubs and cpm. Less views, less money.
Okay... I get that, but after my account is credited for a day's earnings, why do they lower it a week later? Is there a hub you could suggest that would explain how and why adjustments are subtracted from earnings?
I get that - vph vs lvlm. But for me, it went from $3.12 down to $.06 within 5 days. There was no * symbol on $$. Looks to me like Adsense took back revenue after the hub was viewed and viewers clicked the ads. I don't think the $$$ should decrease.
If the earnings have a * symbol next to them it means that they haven't been finalised and can go up or down until they are.
Three days after publishing my first hub, my Adsense earnings showed $3.12. I came back a day later to moderate a comment and it showed $1.09. When I came back two days later, it read $.06 and so that was my final earnings for June --- $.06.
So I don't know if I did something wrong, if the hub was disappointing to Adsense or the click through's on the ads didn't result in enough profit.... heck I don't know, but I do know that $3.06 less is alot of difference. I'm so glad I don't depend on Adsense income to greatly supplement my Social Security (which so far has been consistent and slowly on the rise each year).
TYVM for posting this question, Nancy Owens. I'll be following it to see all the answers others write since I'm so new here at hubpages. I want to write quality hubs, but also like to see some Adsense return too. Hopefully in rising mode and not descending mode.
John
Dang! I know that how the consumer clicks and what they do after the click factors into the computation, but that is a big difference. I looked in the help pages to see if there was something that explains how things are calculated, didn't find.
Like the HP ad program, Adsense adjusts for any clicks it deems to be invalid. https://support.google.com/adsense/answ … 7?hl=en-GB

Okay I give up. I am unclear on how I actually ad the ads to my hubs so they show up and I can earn revenue from them. I have adsense and I created three ads on their site and they offer for me to copy a code, but there is nowhere on my hubs to put it. Are the ads just added automatically because...

I currently have an account with Google Adsense that I got through Hubpages. However, if I started up a blog or website on my own (away from Hubpages) would it be easy to separate that website's earnings from those on Hubpages?

Question about Google Adsense and the Ad CodeI applied to Adsense when I created this hubpage profile and I was declined for not having enough content. So, I posted a couple more hubs, added more pictures, videos and resubmitted my application. Well then I got another email:"Welcome to...

So I've been a Hubpage and Squidoo writer for the past 5 years. Recently, my 185 Squidoo hubs were transferred over to Hubpages and to start earning money, I applied for the Google adsense program about 2 weeks ago. It appears that my account was approved for a couple days and then I...

Does adsense pay attention to click-though rates and sales? My lens (now a hub) on king mackerel fishing only receives about 50 views a month. But it had a nearly 30 click-outs each month, resulting in 3-4 sales. I would have had decent earnings but the 'Great Purge' over in squid...
