What do you think is going to happen in Egypt now Mohamed Morsi has been removed from power?

Will Egypt be better off, or will things get worse now Mohamed Morsi has been forced out of power by the Egyptian army? How will this impact on Tourism and will Egypt still be safe for tourists to visit?

Business as usual in Egypt.  The military has been controlling the government for years and it is not going to stop in the near future.  I predict more unrest, however, before it settles down.

Not a thing. Business as usual. My answer is too short so I will repeat. Nothing will change. It will be busines as usual.

We the general public can only know what the media present to us for viewing.

Sometimes, long after the event, we get to understand more about the real situation as it was, on the ground.   I suspect the same will happen this time.

Although we get to see the crowds (on both sides of the argument) and are told there is tension, threats, "a crisis," nevertheless, behind the scenes I bet, as comments above have said, things are pretty calm and normal.  Might be wrong of course.

This is return of Jamal Abdul Nasser, Egyptians wanted military to come, Akhwan will not be allowed to participate and the elections will be rigged so that President can win again and again, this is going on for 60 years and will continue, Egyptians can not live in free democracy.

Either it will become a military dictatorship or fall back into chaos.
This is nothing new for Egypt and overall won't be much of a change.
But as JCL says we won't really see what is going on unless we look to media outside of the US. Better to follow it on Al Jazeera or RT than on any US news agency.

@borsia - this time Al Jazeera is biased against Morsi unfortunately, it is just coming back of Jamal Abdul Nasser,  the one took control 60 years ago and arrested all Brotherhood members and killed many.

Worse things had happened in Egypt before when Pres. Anwar Sadat was gunned down while watching a military parade by soldiers on parade. Not long afterward an election was conducted. Eqyptians do not seem to be a violent people. They have an ancient culture of peace and obedience as shown by their construction of pyramids.

from the economy side, of course the Inflation of the living cost will occur, and the government system too i'm sure will be in the urgent situation. and for tourism itself, I think in the time like this, Egypt is still not really safe to visit..

The Army has for long been the real power in Egypt andthis will not change in a short time. The Army has the knowledge to protect the major economic assets of the country and will , as it says, organise new elections speedily. It wishes to have a role behind a forceful Government that has the best interests of the majority of the people at heart. By focussing on Religious matters for reform the Morsi  regime showed it failed to realise that and the Army decided to act to stop the downturn in Tourism that has been seen escalating over the past 18 months or so. 900,000 UK visitors went in 2011 but only 400,000 in 2012 and this year will be worse. The Red Sea area and resorts are quite safe but tourist confidence will need to be rebuilt. The Army has to guard againt potential terrorist type attacks on the Suez Canal to keep oil and trade flowing to avert complete disaster. The people will hopefully come out in greater percentage terms to vote next time, though I will not hold my breath too long on this. The Army holds the cards and how it plays them over the next year or so will determine if the country stabilises or descends into internal strife and finally civil war.

Countries should let other countries decide how they want to live ..without interference .Although the politicians only look for power vacuums to fill  lets hope the Egyptian people realize the mistakes they made in the first election and elect someone... who will keep their best interests at the forefront. Trying to keep different factions together and convince them that decisions they make  affect the many and should be considered carefully... not just for the few.

I have some sympathy for that view but History teaches us that all over the world for evil to prosper, all that is needed is for good people to stand by and do nothing. Between the two views there must be a point of balance to assist progress and prh

i am an Indian and worried of miss-happening  in Egypt., I always wonder why these third world nations governed by corrupt ,incompetent regimes and simply looting their own people and resources. Tiny nation like Taiwan without resources is one of the developed nation and export economy. First mindset of the communities and educated class who rules the nation.
Where Egypt is lacking ? Most of the time under military dictators even though they did development but highly corrupted( Hosni Mubarak ) and Israel phobia was also one cause.
We hope Egypt will recover and will begin journey towards democracy and people will have right to elect government.
