   Now that George Zimmerman was found not-guilty do you fell that the state did not have a strong case

   No. They did not, and they knew they didn't. They were forced to try this case because of the media and people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

   They had to prove Zimmerman was the one who assaulted Martin first and to really get the 2nd degree murder conviction, they had to prove Zimmerman acted with ill intent.
   
   It's that or the original police report stands. When the cops' original report says that he followed the law and then the prosecution decides to go after Zimmerman later, it didn't look good from the beginning. The prosecution didn't have a chance once their 'star' witness (who was on the phone with Martin) was caught up in a lie. Even with her, the chances of a 2nd degree murder conviction is very low.
   
   The protesters and others in the media fail to read up on the laws governing Stand Your Ground in Florida and laws governing deadly use of force.

   They never had a strong case to begin with. Why do you think they bypassed the grand jury? Because they knew it would never make it to trial if they had. There was an injustice done as well, but it is the state who is guilty of it. They tried every underhanded trick in the book from with holding evidence from the defense and deleting text messages from Trayvon Martin's phone before turning it over to the defense. The state did not want to charge Zimmerman so they fired all of the people who were in charge and replaced them with people who would do as they were told. They tried to stack the deck against Zimmerman but they jury came through with the right verdict in the end anyway.

   I never thought the state had a case in the first place.  All we hear on the news is about how he "shot an unarmed child".
   Yeah, right.
   Trayvon Martin was justified in being edgy at being followed.  Absolutely. But he was the one who assaulted Zimmerman.  He gets in George's face--understandably--but then when George foolishly takes his eyes off the guy to reach for his cell phone, Martin sucker punches him and proceeds to wipe up the concrete with him.
   That's hardcore assault anywhere in the world.  Had he succeeded in killing Martin, and any time you slam a guy's skull on the concrete that is a possible outcome, it would have been Martin on trial for 2nd degree murder--with a lot more cause than the prosecution had in Zimmerman's case.
   
   It leaves me shaking my head in disgust, and not at Zimmerman.  George was an idiot for following Trayvon like he did.  There's no way he should have done that.  Granted.  But under the law, one has to look at the proximate cause of the whole mess, and in this case, that was a six-foot, athletic 17 year old with obvious martial arts skills sucker punching a lard bag like George, and then going to ground and pound on the sidewalk.
   
   Travyon Martin was the one in kill mode, and had George Zimmerman not been armed, the odds were he (Zimmerman) would have been beaten  to death on the spot.
   Case closed.

   No, I don't believe they had a strong case in terms of evidence.  Originally, they were not going to try him then public outcry changed their minds...but could not change the evidence they had on hand.

   I feel that the media was low on the ratings scale and made things up just to get more money and more ratings.  In the beginning it was a much different story than what it became after the MASS Media took it and ran with it.  There really wasn't much to run with in the beginning and then--oh then it wasn't getting many views still and they turned it into a race story. How can you tell what race a person is when it it pitch dark outside and the person who you are finding out why they are there in the first place is wearing clothes that covered their whole body?   
   What I do not get, and they haven't even mentioned that is how Zimmerman was doing his duty in his position of neighborhood watch and protecting the resident's of his community.  People want to keep crime down in their neighborhoods but once you have that then something like this may happen (depending on what the laws you use for each neighborhood) and all of a sudden people get in an uproar about it.  No one was here so therefore no one actually know what happened. 
   The state did not have a case at all.  Martin was NOT going home.  His parent' were divorced and he was made to stay with his mother who didn't live in that neighborhood at all.  Martin wasn't even going to his father's. He was headed to his father's GF's.  Martin had a criminal record.  They said that in the beginning too and that got downplayed by the MASS media.  The media twisted it around, hide things and told lies and why....not to help Zimmerman nor Martin...but to get ratings.
   
   I don't believe there was an injustice.  Zimmerman was doing his job and Martin didn't list to his mom when she told him not to go there in the first place.  If Martin had listened then none of this would have happened.
   
   Another note: What makes those kids who shot all those kids up in the elementary school or that theater or the columbine high school and other copy cat murders start??? It starts just like this. I don't care if Martin was pink with purple polka dots, he was not where he was supposed to be...period.... The MASS media downplayed this and it was never mentioned after they got a hold of this.

   Now the Justice Department may get involved in filing a civil rights case. I wish the government would take care of its own business.
