How can we sure that the bible is really true.?
how can you convince me to believe with the bible?. if bible is true, and they believe, then why is it most of the religion in the world do their sabbath in the first day of the week, the Sunday? (Exodus 2:8)
I don't think we can. The idea of religion is to have faith; in the God or Gods of that religion, and the religious texts. The stories may well be just that, complete fiction, but it is an individual choice whether you wish to believe or not. Nobody can make you believe something you don't think is true.
I don't think we can "be sure that the Bible is really true." The texts within the many books that make up the Bible have been passed down for centuries and dozens of generations. Language was so different back in the days of those writings that our interpretation can be totally different than what it meant. There are also dozens, if not hundreds, of allegories which makes it difficult to know which ones are actually 'real' or 'stories.' Besides, many of the manuscripts had words and phrases missing, and scholars worked on it to make the best sense. Some current Bibles will let you know about this, but others do not. That in itself is left up to interpretation as well.
To me personally, the Bible is a 'guide' to live by. It is NOT God. We can have faith that God is really true. After all, the world didn't pop up out of nowhere. Sometimes, I feel that people, especially Christians, focus on the wrong things when it comes to faith. For instance, you have discussed the 'Sabbath' in your original question. Why would it matter what is the first day of the week? Many arguments and wars have come about because people do not agree upon interpretation. However, we must remember that God is love, and love is God. If we are allowing Him to live through us, those things don't really matter. Rather, be at peace with who HE is and let HIM live through you... IN LOVE.
The thing about "faith" is you don't have any (proof).
Personally speaking I do not believe every single word in the bible is a fact. However I think there are lessons one can learn as well as form a connection with something outside of themselves.
The canonization process of the bible (one group choosing which books to "include and exclude" from the bible has always raised my eyebrows along with the fact that so many groups created their own denominations when they disagreed with various sections. It sounds to me like there was a lot of "politics" involved.
God made man and man made religion - One man's opinion! :-)
The only way to know if anything is true including the bible is by cross referencing it with the Truth...
Now since Truth is elusive to most, they will identify it as this or as that..
thus we see the bible labelled as truth.
But within the context of which I speak, we can be assured that the bible is not that Truth, thus it can only be a lie.
Kess,
It would be great if you could provide the context of which you speak regarding the truth. Some examples? If you believe the Bible to be a lie, please provide some examples that we could then examine in the context of your truth.
You are not your autobiography despite how accurately written.
Just as the bible cannot be Truth despite how accurately written.
Readers translate writings into images they can relate to.
Knowing You or Truth make the writings somewhat irrelevant .

If really, I don't know if maybe there are God's of the sea and the air and the sun, or maybe there is just one God. Everyone seems...

I believe that while much of contemporary American Christendom is plagued by false doctrine, non-Biblical teaching, and often downright goofy unChristian 'Christianity', we CAN understand what the Bible presents as the truth and that church history provides us insight into what can be called...
