I think the largest factor are some of the idiots in Congress and the Teabaggers. When the world sees lack of respect and an attitude to derail a government no matter what the consequences coming from within it bleeds to the outside.

Some frustration is tied to the United States acting on its own instead of pushing the UN to do their job.

Of course Syria is sort of the icing on the cake.

But he still is better liked than Bush was… Most of the planet hated him. With just cause.

The Repbulicans HAVE IT FOR the president.  Of course, HE is better than Bush.   Oh my dear, the mention and thought of Bush is making my stomach CHURN!

Fantasy is not a positive factor used in determining credibility and respect. Therefore, one must seek truth if they are to determine these things. Truth is Obama and his advisors are irrational, incompetent individuals. Therefore, not respected

gmwilliams, Having it in for the president sounds so ridiculous but it is true. I understand disliking someone because they are not the one you voted for, but this is pure unadulterated idiocy.

I was watching CNN about the Syria situation a couple weeks ago.

I rarely watch the news.  The one thing that stood out in my opinion was that there was so much hesitation and nonsupport of the president.

That shouted trouble in paradise.  I live here, so I can only imagine how other countries view the USA when we can't even agree to disagree.

Lying, double-talk, irrational actions, incompetent decisions.
    Red-Line, then No-Red-Line.
It's horrible, then it is not our problem.
We should do something, Oh, the Russians will take care of it.
We will find and charge the evil men who killed our citizens in Benghazi, but no action taken.
Egypt is now governed by great democracy, then we find that the Obama Administration was backing the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists.
    Obama divides rather than unites.
Obama hides behind rather than lead from the front.
Obama is supported by the non-workers rather than the patriots (the 47% who do not pay taxes).

He has lost credibility because he it's blatantly clear he is in over his head.  He is a classic example of what happens when you take a college professor with no experience who lives in a theoretical world that doesn't exist outside the classroom, and place him in a position to make actual decisions.

He is pushed around by other world leaders.  He changes his story and positions like a baby changes their diaper.  He needed congressional approval to bomb Syria after his "red line" was crossed.  But no such approval to bomb Libya.  He is a constitutional law lecturer that isn't smart enough to know that it's not legal for him to just delay implementation of parts of laws because he wants to after they have already been made into active legislation.  Or just doesn't care. He has no idea how to work with not only republicans, but even people in his own party. His knowledge of economics and how the business community thinks is downright scary.  And worse than all, he is totally impulsive.  He jumps out and makes statements about events that happen all the time before he has the facts, and ends up having to entertain "beer summits" so he doesn't look like a misinformed fool.

In all my life I have never seen such a disorganized administration.  This makes the Carter administration look efficient.

He is walking proof of the Peter Principal. (That people rise to their level of incompetence)
His biggest problem is that he doesn't have the trust of his own people. The entire American government is at its lowest ratings in history and they are only going down.
