Since we are talking about Christmas cookies, homemade. My aunt makes great sugar cookies. Chocolate crinkles are amazing. The list goes on.

I had some of those gourmet cookies the other day and they were surprisingly good. That green one in your picture had spearmint flavored creamy chocolate inside, so good, but I digress. There is nothing like the fresh taste of a soft, warm cookie out of the oven where you can taste the ingredients, so yummy.

The green cookie according to the box is a pistachio leaf. It's a classic recipe infused with pistachio flavoring and hand sandwiched with mouth watering chocolate.

Any cookie is okay, as long as I am not allergic to it and it tastes good.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year because I wait for those home made cookies to show up on the work counters.  Since I no longer work I have to make my own now.  The fancy cookies are okay but not the same as the ones that are only baked once a year for the holidays.

I prefer both as I am second cousin to the Cookie Monster! Unless it is my mothers cookies then I always go with hers. Who can beat moms cookies?

Love making holiday cookies from scratch - sometimes sugar cookies and sometimes gingerbread. Yum! This year, we timed it so that my daughter was able to exchange cookies with a friend...gingerbread for chocolate chip. Yum!

There is such a heartwarming sense of connection when I see my neighbors eating the cookies I have set out for them to enjoy...even if they don't know who made them.
