Why do most religions argue that their religion is the best

Different versions of religions, like Christianity are sometimes seen arguing that their religion is best.

Christians who follow the teachings of the Bible shouldn't argue about religion because it is plainly written that we shouldn't.
But it is human nature to argue about whatever we are apart of whether it be school, job, where you dine or shop it is the best.
    Think about it.
We are instrument of God and all He ask of us is to share His words and let who has an ear let him hear or forbear.
It is not about religion or denomination it is about the word of God and keeping all His given commandments.
If we seek to know about Him we will gain wisdom and God will reveal the truth to us and guide us to the correct.

I don't have an answer to the question, but I do have a little supporting information.  I made the mistake of asking some very simple questions about the lack of proof or logic associated with Christianity and other religions.  I was attacked so viciously by Christians responding to these questions, I made a vow to never ask another religion based question.  One Christian hubber even harassed me for days on unrelated questions.  You are right on the money about Christians arguing their point of view, and if you ask the question the right way, they will light you up.  The irony of this is obvious to me, and it should be to them.

Because many people have a deep seated desire to know that they are somehow better than everyone else. This doesn't only apply to religion but also to ethnicity, social class, country or area of origin, career, level of education, the amount of money you make, you name it.  It's human nature....

Religions don't argue. People do. The reason is simple: Ego!

Ego is the source of all evil. Which is funny... even hilarious, because the religious are supposedly against evil. They're wallowing in it.

The only true religion is Love. This is what Christ taught. If you can love your enemy as if they are yourself, then you have healed the world to that degree. This is what turning the other cheek is about. This is what Buddha talked about when he taught the paramitas. Perfection is untainted by egoistic dichotomies. For instance, when Peter stepped out onto the unsettled Sea of Galilee, he stood there for a brief moment, all reason thrown to the wind. Faith made the water as if it were solid. Then a tiny spot of doubt cracked that armor and he promptly sank.

Love takes you to togetherness, sharing unconditionally with no self-concern.

Ego is pure self-concern. And most, if not all, major religions talk about doing away with ego. Yet, many have forgotten this and spew ego as their new dogma.

Kabbalah has remained hidden for thousands of years, until this era when it would be needed most. Now, the code in which the Bible was written is finally open to everyone. Only those who are ready will get anything out of it. And this is the authentic Kabbalah -- not the New Age guesswork of outsiders. Kabbalah takes you all the way to the roots of creation and requires no belief. Your soul knows, and with proper guidance will automatically make the connections.

People are drawn to what they see as quality. If a Christian thought that Islam was better then they wouldn't be a Christian they would be a Muslim.

You may not like my answer but it will be the real truth. The first reason is that they want more people in their pews, more people more money!  All of it is just Dogma because if it was about the religion then there would be no argument.
There is only one Creator, but many gods and that is where the problem has come from since the beginning of time. All religions including Christianity speaks of the gods, and the Bible tells us in Deuteronomy  32:8 that The Most High gave his "SONS" 70 Nations. These "Sons of God" were over different Nations of People, and that is where all these religions came from all over the world. They are not ruling the world anymore but since everyone had a different Son of God over them they all felt that their god was the best.
The Christian religion likes to call everyone else's god false but none of them were false! But we need to understand that religion is only another person's opinion on how you should worship your god and the truth is you need to find and worship your own personal God as you feel fit and stop trying to listen to the religious world because they could care less if you make it or not, it's all about ego and money for them and most of what they are saying is a lie.
