When you are feeling sad or low, what kind of things do you do to try and shake it off?

I call my sisters if I can, because they can usually cheer me up. If not, then I find a good book to read, one that's hopefully funny, and I make myself a cup of hot tea and curl up in bed with it. If I can't do that right off because I'm somewhere else or I'm working, I tell myself to tough it out and wait until I can do that.

Hey Kara do you know why what you do works?, it's because your distracting the thoughts that was causing you to feel low..So your on the right lines, but you can do it after practice instantly by mindfully doing something or mindful distraction. :-)

Well this is my favourite subject to talk about Elderberry, & I'm only typing this for anyone out there, who reads this who is struggling to control their emotions & feelings..The answer for me was to learn mindfulness practice/distraction, & to learn emotions & feelings control practice..It sounds like a lot to learn, but you have to learn it over the months as you practice..So you do a bit here & a bit there, & steadily progress to having almost full control over all your emotions & feelings..It is really fascinating & fun to do when you start to get the gist of it all, & the gist is that we're all creating/manifesting all of our own unwanted emotions & feelings we just don't realise it..Because of the training i have now realised this, & am now immune to manifesting any unwanted emotions or feelings....Now that doesn't mean i don't use emotions & feelings, it just means i only use them when it's appropriate to use them..So for me that means no more feeling sad, lonely, bored, depressed etc etc, & also i can't look back with regret any more, & it means we can forgive every one who has wronged us over the years....I know what your probably thinking, that sounds a bit too good to be true..But if you are interested in hearing more about it because i swear it's not a gimmick, reply & I'll post a 5 min vid from utube that will help explain what I'm saying..I'd love to know what you think, & i am trying to get this out there to every one i can. :-)

Thank you. I find that once I feel down it can be hard to shake off and I can't stop thinking about whatever caused it. I just can't seem to get it out of my mind which only makes the low Ness worse.

The only thing I've found that works, is mindful distraction when ever you feel low..You distract what ever thoughts are causing your feelings, & you do it by mindfully distracting those thoughts..Over the months of practice the thoughts will van

I know this will sound strange Elderberry, but whatever you do don't think ahead..Only concentrate on what your doing at the time..So if negative thoughts come do something like house work etc, & try to maintain focus on the task not "other" thou

Hey buddy when ever we need cheering up, it's usually because we're thinking about sad times or how bad things seem to be..The trick is to not entertain the negative thoughts ever, but to distract those thoughts by mindfully doing something. :-)

When I am upset over anything or something has hurt me , I try to keep myself away from the crowd or my family. I do it because when I am not happy and running under low esteem, my own family members or my loved ones should not be worried about me. After sometime, I try to listen some good songs or music that makes your heart  feel energized, as it is the only way to get over the sad feeling and  it helps me again mix  up myself with the people around.
