If you're newly saved, should you being ashamed of your past sins?

I am not a very religious person. Recently, I have considered becoming a part of a church and getting saved. I have always wondered however will this change who I am as a person? Will I become (with all respect) a "boring" person who using god in my all day every day topics?

When you turn to god and he saves your mortal soul, and ask for forgiveness for your sins, he says he will cast them as far as the east is from the west, and he will remember them no more, so be ashamed of your past sins but once god has forgiven them they are no more. so when you are saved they never existed in the eyes of god, there for there is nothing left to be ashamed of. And you don't have to become a "boring" person, it is expected that you will try and sin no more if you truly except God into your heart, however no one is without sin. strive to be pure have fun with the life God gave you. Now you should consider God in all your decisions but that doesn't mean every conversation you have should revolve around him, unless you feel convicted to talk about him constantly and some people do. Find joy in your life Find joy in God. That being said don't just say the words because it is expected of you, first you must feel them in your heart. To someone who really wants a relationship with God this dilemma wouldn't really matter. In the end it is all between you and God.

Thank you. I wonder these questions because every time I get serious about a church I begin to feel guilty for my sins. I'm just worried that I will change a lot.

I wouldn't worry too much, a true Christion will not judge. And God already knows. Jesus Christ is the only path to eternal salvation. I would think it worth the risk of a little change.

No you should have done this and been forgiven when you came to Christ and were born again.    Now forget (go and sin no more) .   Because God says once He has forgiven you you are white as snow and He has thrown your sins into the sea of forgetfulness to be remembered no more.     You are a new creation in Him.
If you become a part of a church that does not have anything to do with being born again, which is the beginning of being a Christ follower.   In fact in the majority of churches you be joining the churches of men and churchianity.      And be brought into bondage to their system instead of being free to follow Christ.    Remember Jesus died to deliver us from bondage.     Being saved is a misnomer because the scripture say to be saved you must endure to the end (of either your life or the world).    Going to a church does not equate to be ing a Christian.      To become a Christian you need to admit and confess you are a sinner against God, ask His forgiveness, accept the bkood of jesus as payment for your sins, then change into the new creation you have become and follow Christ, not man.
The silly little prayer required by so many churches is a bad joke and has nothing to do with being born again according to scripture.      You must also understand that what the church sysrtem calls chuch is not what the bible says.    Inthe new testament god no longer lives in or recognizes a building, HE LIVES IN HIS PEOPLE AND WORKS THROUGH THEM.
