Do you believe it is immoral for a man to date, when he can't take care of himself?
I believe it is immoral for a man to date, when he can't take care of himself, during the Global Financial Crisis, where I lost my job, can't get a new job and need to move back home. A broke up with my girl friend and sworn off dating, My mum is an over protective parent, having to deal with that, I couldn't get a job till 21, almost 22. (she didn't want me to start working till at least 25) and prior 22, I never dated, despite I was able to get some pretty dame hot girl. Do you believe it is immoral for a man to date, when he can't take care of himself?
I don't think immoral is the right word you're looking for, but the fact you have nothing to offer in a long term relationship. Not having a job isn't anything to be ashamed of; not trying to find a new one is something I'd question.
Is there a specific reason your mother doesn't want you to work? Are you a college student, disable or not able to work? What is your reason you cannot care for yourself? These are questions a woman would ask if she dated you.
A woman interested in dating wants to be taken care of and cherished as someone special. She isn't looking to be a parent to her mate. Maybe with more information we could give better advice. There's nothing wrong with having female friends to help encourage you as you seek employment. Just don't call them dates.
I was in college back then, I believe after high school, a guy should support himself, if he is to go to college he need to support himself through it and otherwise is disgusting & dirty, which is why i was really angry at my mother
Focusing on college isn't wrong if you have financial support. This still doesn't address your mother's behavior. She must of had a reason she didn't want you to work.
Well, it is wrong in my book. As long as you are 19 and above and you are a man, you are suppose to work to support your self, whether you need to or not, which is why I don't get some male rich kid over 20 and still spending their parents money.

Stealing is immoral, right? But what if stealing was the only way to feed a starving child?
