If You Had Only One Advice To Share With A Child or Adult About Bullying? What Would It Be?
The parents could go to the head of the school and he/she should intervene. If this does not help they have to put their child to a different school as soon as possible. Bullying will have an impact on the child's character for a long time. (not trusting people, finding that being the loser is there role in life and acting unconsciously towards such situations. Being bullied is a dangerous situation and should be dealt with immediately).

Try not to allow it to overwhelm you. Most things are not permanent.
The reason I say this is because we hear a lot about young people in particular who commit suicide over being bullied.
A 13 year old oftentimes lacks the ability to imagine them self seven years down the road happy at age 20 in college or even beyond.
While a parent can and should do everything possible within the law to protect their child they still need to drive home the fact that "now" is not "forever". Childhood is temporary.
Too often teens and adults live in parallel universes and teens feel like they should be able to handle their own problems so they refuse to tell their parents. It's important to encourage communication,
People who kill themselves are "shortsighted" and don't see any options or reasons to believe their future will be any better than today.
Never insist upon having a finite view of a world with infinite possibilities! Adults should know there are always options.
Today is just one page in one chapter within the book of your life. Always have the courage to turn to the next page.

if bullying in school, parents have to step in and talk to the teachers. if online, cancel the account ( FB, twitter etc ) don't ever get involve with those people anymore
Yes- parents, uncles, aunts, and grandparents. It's vital to take a stand and stop the bullying online, school, or anywhere else. If we don't who will. Thank you for sharing your input.
Exercise your right of no reply and walk away. Take a proactive approach to avoid the bully. Use support from others to manage the bullying if it is chronic.

What should be the penalty for school bullies?School bullies should be expelled from schools and placed in juvenile detention or prison. They deserve no clemency nor reeducation whatsoever. If a "child" is old enough to bully another, he/she should be criminalized.
