What are some foods you absolutely must sprinkle salt on or they don't taste as good?

I have a few odd ones:  grilled cheese sandwiches, bread and butter (i.e. the bread you get at restaurants before the meal); and boiled eggs.

Pasty.  This is a sort of meat pie with potatoes and carrots that we have in the fall.  I only put salt on things a couple times a year because I don't like salt much at all, but pasty needs a little.

Meat, potatoes, and carrots - sounds like a combination I would use salt on too! I love salt. Probably too much but I do try not to use it as much.

For me, I try and not use a lot of salt as it does not agree with my high blood pressure. I was advised by the doctor not to use too much salt. I usually use salt on potatoes or chips, stews or casseroles, soups, and most of the things I cook but I use salt in moderation now.

I have also tried to cut back on salt for the same reason, just so it stays steady.  For me potatoes with butter need a bit of salt to taste good, or I think why bother LOL

I am like you with boiled eggs. I always put salt on them. I love corn and always sprinkle salt on corn on the cob. It enhances its flavor and the butters. I always need to put salt on a turkey sandwich. Something about the salt makes a simple turkey sandwich way better.

Yes turkey / chicken sandwich with mayonnaise would not be the same without salt!

I was brought up to add salt to food while cooking so they don't need salt after woods . Tomato occasionally needs a bit of salt when on a cracker + we add salt & vinegar to hot chips !

A poached and scrambled egg must have a little salt sprinkled over it!

I agree very much about eggs. I love some salt on scrambled eggs.
