   Doe the "deflating the ball scandal" affects the integrity of Tom Brady?

   Yes. In my opinion, it brings the integrity of the quarterback into question. It also brings into question the integrity of the individual teams and the NFL regarding knowledge and control of the apparently very important process of ball handling and integrity, but I digress.
   
   I saw some of Brady's press conference and all of Bill Belechick's and something was off. I'm not sure what it is but what I observed, especially in Tom Brady, was careful use of words, half-answered replies to questions, and a lot of hesitation. In his answer to, "Are you a cheater," Brady said, "I don't believe so . . . I've always followed the rules," blah, blah, blah. What?! What do you mean, "I don't believe so?" (sigh, SMH). And it didn't help that the news showed a 2011 video of Brady saying how he likes his balls, something like he likes them softer.
   My theory: Somebody ( young, impressionable ball handler, maybe?) who loves the Patriots and worships Tom Brady, did what he thought Brady needed to play comfortably and play well. Was it done with the intent of cheating and ensuring an NFC Championship? Probably not. Brady is an excellent quarterback and knows how to win. I think it was about pleasing Tom Brady and I think he knows it. His smiling, nervous laughter, and 30 minute long press conference tells me he feels a bit responsible but can say, "in all honesty," he didn't know.

   Probably not. People tend to have a "short term" memory.
   Most people picked them to beat the Colts. It wasn't even close!
   If they go on to win the Super Bowl that's all most people will remember. Deflate-gate will become a running joke.
   The more popular someone is the more likely they're given a "free pass". That's not fair but it's the reality of the world we live in.
   Tom Brady will be voted in the NFL Hall of Fame with no asterisk.

      Tom Brady will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time.  I personally do not put much stock in the whole deflategate scandal--since it has been common in the NFL for decades.  No one can deny Brady's resume: 3 Rings
