    What do you typically prefer to hear first...Good News or Bad News?

    If someone tells you that they have both good news and bad news to share, and gave you the option to choose which type of news to hear first...what would you choose? Good news or Bad news? Personally, I prefer to hear the bad news first, what is your preference?

    bad news then good news. It is better to vent your anger and put a smile of your face later.

      Unless it's the old joke: Dr. calls a patient & tells him he's got bad news and worse news. Patient asks for the bad news. Dr. says: "You've got 24hrs to live." Patient replies in shock; "What's the worse news?" Dr. I forgot to call you yesterday

    Definitely good news should come first. Then one can "turn off" his/her ears and focus on only the good news and either forget about the bad or in-effectively listen to it (ah what did you say?)...
    The good news is that you don't have colon cancer. The bad news is that you have non-treatable pancreatic cancer and it is time to get your affairs in order...
