Why is religion increasingly annoying people ?
Why is religion dividing the world and leading to bigotry and fundamentalism ?
It is the unjustified judging by those following this religion, or that religion ,what is right,or acceptable, sometimes hypocritical followers, play that they are holier than all the rest and love thy neighbor goes out the window.
The world would be a happier place if only one person judged and not til, Death.
I think the rise of the internet has given voice to more sides of the debate. Closeted atheists now have a safe platform from which to speak and extremists (unfortunately) are now able to network with other extremists. This has launched the topic into a more-scrutinizing sphere of debate.
Some of it is the increase in awareness of other religions aside from ones own, and the ability to get information quickly from the internet but also be able to get their own info across more easily even if it's incorrect (eg the article out there today saying that SS marriage will lead to hundreds of thousands of abortions)
But the other thing is people trying to legislate what other people do in their lives to be in accordance to only the politicians religious beliefs (whilst at the same time complaining about the same being done to them by a different religion).
Religion is and should only ever be - personal. It's yr relationship between yrself and yr God/s. Not everyone else

Why do people base their opinion of a religion on it's extremists,?The extremists of any religion are an inaccurate example of that particular religion - be it ISIS, the WBC, the KKK (the KKK initially were aligned with the Christian religion - maybe not now) etc. Why do people ignore the normal,...

This is a really good question for Christians... Why was Obama erroneously-labeled the anti-christ; while a man like Trump is considered to be 'called' and appointed by God?Ps 21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he...
