   I would say that religionists think that atheists/agnostics are "attacking" their gods.
   All we are asking for is some proof of a god or gods. We have studied the "holy books", we have gone to churches, mosques, temples and other "places of worship". We have tried to find this god, but so for have not found any proof that a creator god exists.
   All the religionists need to do is present some logical proof of a god, have it verified by some sort of irrefutable test and we will become "believers".
   Other than that, the biggest misconceptions are that since atheists/agnostics don't worship a god or gods, that they will go to hell,  they worship Satan or the devil, they are trying to convert people to atheism, and they are blaspheming (attacking) their gods.
   Apparently, logic, science, facts, and truth eludes them.

   There are quite a few, but morality has to be the most common, and arguably most damaging. There is a perception that, without religion, there can be no morality. In other words, to behave in a civil fashion, we need the promise of reward or threat of damnation. If this were true, however, all atheists would be criminals.
   
   Despite the existence of polite, law abiding atheists, there is still a stigma that they are untrustworthy. As evidenced by the Gallup pole that put them below every other minority when asked if they would elect one to the highest office. This is damaging because truly good, innovative people, are being lumped in with the likes of murderers and rapists.

   Misperception of others is a very prominent part of the human condition, and no one group of people has a monopoly on misperceiving others.
   
   So, perhaps, the question should have been, "What are the main misperceptions that religionists have about atheists and/or agnostics, and vice versa?"

   They believe atheists and agnostics have no morals, because they don't answer to a Cosmic Deity or base their life philosophies off the Bible.  In reality, the Laws of Cause and Effect apply to everyone, regardless of their religious belief or degree of devotion to it.  Many devout Christians think they can get away with foolishness because God will bail them out - then they're disappointed when that doesn't happen.  Case in point; I once heard of a man who refused to buy life insurance, believing God would protect his family if something happened to him.  Atheists, on the other hand, know it's all on them, so they're more likely to take personal responsibility in their issues.
