   Why should we lose four marines just like that?
   
   The government of the United State must with a matter urgency introduce a strict gun control measures, because of what has happened to the nation in recent time. People that not suppose to die are dying.

   That's the problem"Gun Control Measures".Because they were in a zone that was gun free. If they had  weapons they might have been able to defend themselves.

      In otherwards there should be less guns in the hands of individuals.. especially those that are prone to depression.

   I don't believe that passing strict gun control measures will help. The only people unarmed in "gun free zones" are law-abiding citizens. Criminals aren't going to follow anti-gun laws. Those laws end up protecting criminals from law-abiding citizens who might otherwise be armed and capable of stopping a massacre.
   
   Like it or not, the Supreme Court has decided that the 2nd Amendment guarantees the right of individual gun ownership. I support background checks and barring known criminals from legal gun ownership, but I'm against draconian laws meant to prevent citizens from owning firearms for self defense.
   
   If you can find available resources, I think they'd be better used to improve mental health services rather than curtailing Constitutionally guaranteed rights.
   
   FYI - I'm especially sensitive to the plight of these four Marines. I spent 4 years as an active-duty Marine. By reducing individual gun ownership, you seem to be advocating against the ability of Marines or other people to defend themselves. I strongly disagree with your position.

      Ron...I agree with 101%...actually am not an American citizen but over here in Guinea where I reside, when I get to hear some of this avoidable incidents, I am not always happy...but my plea that the government of America should do something about it

      I agree that action is needed, but I'm not sure that laws are the answer. Better mental health care would help. Society promoting and prioritizing personal responsibility is essential. Holding people accountable for their choices is part of that.
