   Man of wisdom do not have favorites in any field.  Since I understand the meanings of almost all of the parables I've found they each has a value of their own and can not be considered a favorite.  They are important for comprehending the meaning of the entire Bible and without understanding the entire book one is just as lost concerning the ending of the world as anyone who believes one's death is the end of the world. 
   
   Favoring things is a major cause of our not comprehending the meaning of everything we do not understand.  Favoring is another "judgmental adjective" and eliminates anyone who uses it from being objective enough to "observe, participate and reason with the various outcomes" to become Educated and Wise.

   Phoenix V to answer your question the one that I remember that I can relate to is weddings,  Jesus use a parable of two classes of people depicting the bride class and the foolish virgins.
   The parable was to show how important to keep spiritually alert. If not it will be like the days of Noah when the heavenly Father shut the door , when his mercy is enough.

      K&T:  "Marriage" - Wedding (parable) As "Christ is to the CHURCH!" (Eph 5:31-32) Mystery! Gives "the best wine" to the CHURCH (Jn 2:10) as 1 should in "Marriage!"

      K&T: Just pointing out the importance of "weddings" in Scripture!  Jesus performed his "first miracle" at a wedding!  Why? Eph 5:31-32 (Mystery)!  "As Christ is to the CHURCH!"  Both HOLY!

   My favorite is Jesus feeding the 5,000 with two fish and five loaves. I love the message of faith in always having enough.

      Great choice!  Did u notice the "increase" in fish didn't occur in Jesus' Hands but in "believers" distributing fish (disciples)? So are we - "believers" with "faith!"  The "benefits" are GREAT!

   II Timothy 3:16 says "All scripture is given by inspiration of God..." which makes it virtually impossible to choose a "favorite!"  However, if "I" would "have to choose" a "favorite parable from Jesus" it would be the one in which "religion" has erred in John Chapter 4! 
   
   The Woman at the Well: (I will paraphrase for lack of space!)  Jesus meet a Samaritan woman at the well which is a parable in which Jesus  afforded "eternal life" to ALL (Fulfilling "law")!  He also told us that (v23) ",,,true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth.." which is the ONLY was we should worship him today!
   
   Now, Jesus (knowing the life of the Samaritan woman) asked her to "go call your husband" (v16) in which she answered "I have no husband" and Jesus agreed (v17).  Jesus told her in v18 that she "had had five husbands, and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband; saidst thou truly."   V21 tells us what "religion" overlooked when Jesus told her "...Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall NEITHER in this mountain, NOR yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father."  If Jesus said she would "NEITHER/NOR" worship the Father," why does religion say "She was Saved?"
   
   Let's move on!  And to farther reveal that "she was not saved," v29 (after being told by Jesus in v26 "...I that speak unto thee am he," she goes into the city and asked "men," "Come, see a man, who told me all things that ever I did" (Here's the point, she asked "men" after being told in v26) Is not this the Christ?"  Why would one have to ask "men" if she "knew" Christ?  Her question fulfilled what Jesus told her in v21, she would "NEITHER/NOR" worship the Father!"  V39 says some believed because of her saying "He told me all that I ever did" but went to hear His Words and "then" believed "for they heard him for themselves" (v42)!  Jesus said she would "NEITHER/NOR worship the Father" or did He lie? 
   
   Now on to the parable or "hidden mystery!"  Don't you see that "Marriage" has to be "Holy" and "in the Lord" (I Cor 7:39)?  If husband dies while you are "in the Lord" you are free to marry another!  Well, if the second "Marriage" should be "in the Lord," don't you think the first "Marriage" should be also?  It should, otherwise; we are just like the Woman at the well with husband that "we" have joined together and not God; therefore, the one now with is not your husband!
