My earnings on Hubpages this month are less than the previous months. Are you experiencing the same?

Yes, I am earning less.  That is because my views and CPM is down.  Mostly it is the low CPM which is depressing my earnings.  How are your CPMs?

My earnings have been going down, month on month, for the best part of a year now, but especially since I allowed my top 3 Hubs to be re-edited into HubPro. The total average views per day for those 3 used to be around 800-850, it's now around the 350-400 mark. I won't be adding any more content into Hubpages.

It is interesting that my views are not less but the money are not  the same. I myself like Hubpages and will continue writing. Hope this is only contemporary. smile

I have seen mine go down for some time. This is why I don't count on Hubpages for income, only extra pocket change. I started creating my own sites a few years back and honestly that is where the money is.

I wrote on both hubpages and Squidoo for years because I was afraid to create my own sites. I'm so glad I did. With your own site, you have total control. No rules and no worries about someone publishing your work. (I lost a lot of income when Squidoo started to go down hill). I would have been so much better off if all of my content were on my own self hosted blogs.

I love hubpages, and appreciate the community. And I still write here because it is fun. But it is always better to have your own site.

Thank you very much for the answer, Wendy. I don't depend on Hubpages income but I like writing here. Just noticed that the earnings are lowering and think that maybe the reason is in me. I really should think about sharing more. smile

My numbers are up, and my earnings are up. It's probably because I've been inactive for two years and just posted a few new hubs though..

Mine are somewhat lower, but it's on all of my sites, not just here and I think it is something to do specifically with AdSense.  I just updated one of my sites to be mobile friendly - it already ranked well and earned several dollars a day.  I thought well if I make it responsive it will be even better - bad error in judgment.  My traffic went way up as expected, but my earnings went down to under a dollar a day.  After all that time invested "updating" my design.  It's really getting to be a struggle out here.
