   Why are beautiful people considered not to be intelligent?  Why is the concept of being beautiful

   I believe this stereotype exists mainly because we as a society hate to believe someone can "have it all". Beauty plus brains is "too much"!
   We're constantly asking: "Would you rather have love (or) money?" "Be married to someone good looking (or) someone who is smart?"
   It's as if we believe having one means you (can't) have the other!
   Deep down we believe that's: "Not fair!"
   The slogan "Real Women Have Curves" is an insult to any woman who is naturally slim by saying (she's not a "real woman")based upon her weight/dress size!
   Therefore beautiful people must be "airheads" "bimbos" "muscle bound" "eye candy" for average and less than average looking people to feel good about their station in life.
   The most popular magazines sold are those where celebrities are "caught with no makeup", cellulite or stretched marks are exposed, varicose veins...etc Beauty, money, & fame kills us!
   We need something to be wrong with them!

      Unfortunately, there seems to be a subconscious envy of people who have &/or MORE.  This mindset is immature & quite childish in scope, don't you think?  Also, this thought is definitely illogical if one analyzes it.

      Yes it's very immature!
      The (ego) begs for comparison and finding ways to be superior to others. We should instead focus on being (our best) and not worry about the rest.
      Someone will always have more and someone will always have less. That's life!

   People's intelligence, intellectual, or emotional, has nothing to do with how they look.  There has been this silly joke about 'dumb blonde's' going on since the days of "Dagwood and Blonde," the newspaper comic strip of the 1940s.   Paradoxically, some of the most intelligence women, with tremendous business acumen and success in our 'hard-headed' business world have been some of them. Lucille Ball, for example, who deliberately chose in her comedy roles to sound like a scatter-brain. 
   
   It's significant that in asking this question you put up a head and shoulder shot of a blonde.   (Or at least one who has dyed her hair that colour) in order to present your point.  But the same applies to men.  Looks have nothing to do with intelligence or maturity.   Unfortunately, the stereotyping will continue.

      Never had such an idea but there is a stupid & inane stereotype that some clueless people have.. Not into stereotypes, I have been stereotyped enough thank you for my ordinal birth order & personality type!

   Well, I just think of Hedy Lamarr, that beautiful actress of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, who developed (with musical composer George Antheil) the spread spectrum and frequency-hopping technology to prevent the Nazis from jamming Allied communications and patented in 1942. Too bad the military didn't adopt it until the 1960s. Maybe they thought she was an airhead or dumber than a bag of hammers? She was asked to peddle her celebrity and sell war bonds, which she also succeeded at. In any case, her ideas formed the basis of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, et al, that millions and millions take for granted when connecting electronic devices.

   This thought actually crosses all boarders or countries.. people just assume that someone beautiful can not be intelligent .
   
   Most people like it when the school beauty turns up 'Fat or plump' during the reunion but not if she turns up as a successful astronaut.
   
   This happens and we should never pretend that it does not .

      Oh, jealousy & envy are such......TERRIBLE things.  Such toxicity that the jealous & envious have.  It is called schadenfreude, pleasure at another's misfortune.  Yes, people want those w/more to fail-to be reduced to THEIR level!  How SAD!
