How to find out if a person is an introvert or if the one do not want to talk to us
one month back I made a new friend. he always talk nicely when I talk to him but there is no such initiative to talk from his side..what should I consider if he is an introvert or he is not that much interested in our friendship
If a conversation happens does it really matter who initiated it?
If you enjoy talking to someone and you only see him as being a "friend" then it shouldn't matter if he's an introvert, shy around girls/women, has a girlfriend, possibly gay, or doesn't want you to think he's romantically interested in you. He's just a friend!
From what you describe it sounds like he's more of a casual acquaintance and not an "actual friend" of yours.
Are you hoping for something more?
Maybe it's his way of putting you in the "friend zone".
Thanks for presenting ur views.. I feel whether it is friendship or any relation, It should be from both the sides . To talk or reply only when other person talks can just be a part of social formality. Also the person may also lose interest soon.
Like attracts like!
Having said that there will always be friendships where people are opposites on some things but compatible in other areas. Friends are a matter of degrees; acquaintances, friends, best friends, romantic interest. You decide.
Ya.. U r right.. I think I should also not make extra effort now. To make friends is easy but to maintain the friendship is really tough.
Someone who is antisocial or prefers not to start a conversation is NOT the same thing as an introvert. Most introverts can be very social people, but we recharge ourselves by spending time alone rather than in large groups. That's the only difference really.

If you answered yes, then you may want to change your mind. It will only cause heartache and a broken friendship. I told one of my closest friends that her boyfriend was cheating on her and now we're no longer close. It hurts my heart because I didn't want to tell her but, the person he was...

How do you reconcile with friends after a mistake? If you've made an error in judgment, how do you reconcile with the friends who now refuse to speak with you? After you've regretted the mistake and tried to make amends, how do you restore the friendships that are important to you?
