   What are THE TOP TEN stereotypically inane & unintelligent remarks you heard made about

   1. Not wanting children is selfish.
   2. Having an abortion is murder punishable by eternity in hell.
   3. You will "find" the money you need to raise another child.
   4. How can we "go forth and multiply" if you don't have as many children as possible?
   5. Children are gifts from god.
   6. Children are your purpose in life.
   7. Your genetic code will be lost if you don't pass it on.
   8. Your family name will be lost if you don't pass it on.
   9. Who will carry your legacy?
   10. Why don't you want children???

      Austinstar, I have heard #3 from such broodmothers.Funny, how their children look like orphans Regarding #5, children from large families are oftentimes treated like TRASH,especially the older children.Large families are ENVIOUS of small families.

   (1)They're spoiled.Those from large families grow up in an impoverished environment where scarcity & struggle are common.They can't, don't, or won't understand that there're children better off than they are.What they don't understand, they CONDEMN.
   (2)They're lonely.Those from large families believe that children MUST have siblings for companionship.They don't have the intelligence to realize that children can have close companionships through friends. They can't see this at all.
   (3)They're selfish.Those from large families believe in communality.  They have no concept of individual ownership.They MUST share everything because of scarcity.They don't understand that there're children who have MORE than they do & can own their own stuff because of abundance in their environment.
   (4)They've NO ONE for them.  Siblings don't guarantee closeness & loyalty.  Friends care & look out for each other.  Family can STAB you in the back; however, that is lost on people from large families.
   (5)They don't have to do chores.Yep, I heard that remark from those in large families.People from small families did chores as children & teens.Those from large families contend that they had a monopoly on chores performed as children.
   (6)They don't have any responsibility.Those from large families oftentimes must be adult from early childhood.They don't have a normative childhood.They don't understand that because of general affluence & smart family planning, people from small families have a freer,more exploratory childhood that they will ever have.What they also refuse to understand that childhood isn't servitude which they must endure on daily basis.
   (7)They're so soft.Those from large families were oftentimes treated harshly,even brutishly by their parents.They weren't given the proper affection, love, & attention by their parents.Neglect is very normative in such families.Of course,they don't understand the more loving & caring approach that those from small families receive from their parents.
   (8)They're so close to their parents.Those from large families don't have warm parent-child relationships.Parents are uninvolved in large families. Relationships are w/siblings.They see it odd that children DO have warm parent-child relationships.
   (9)They're such babies.Those from large families are rough & street. They are also hard-it is part of the large family environment where one must constantly vie for parental attention in contrast to those in small families who are adored.
